I'm not sure about the LG as I haven't seen it, but the Hisense 55B8000 is way better then the Samsung. I'm not the only one saying that, that also comes from a friend of mine with the Samsung.
I can actually believe this.
Look at the smartphone market. Xiaomi can order Amoled screens from Samsung, offer a decent quality product but have a different user experience.
Products produced by Chinese companies have improved immensely over the years.
I sometimes wonder if the only real difference between LG, Hisense & Samsung TVs is: the build, user experience & sound quality
The user experience becomes less important if you have an android box.. Sound quality becomes less important if you own a soundbar.
In my opinion the only real difference will be customer service & longevity.
My opinion on Samsung appliances changed after my folk's fridge decided to leak multiple times, my sisters fridge also experienced issues & my Samsung microwave died after a year.
Folk's have a Samsung Tizen TV at home. 2014 model. It was expensive at the time. Sound quality is kak tbh. You have to activate soccer mode to hear anything clearly & the smart remote has issues. Apparently it is a Bluetooth or wifi issue. Googled it a while ago.
In my experience LG seems to produce better quality products than Samsung. Parents LG washing machine is 10 + years old, spare fridge is also older than 10 years & im happy with my LG tv.
I now have a Hisense microwave.
I am more open to Hisense, now that they have invested in SA & have a bigger presence.
Hisense should really consider bundling Netflix vouchers with tvs.
