[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

Yea just phoned them and they kinda just said well its made in SA so they can't say much... So a complete dead end. Didn't even want to provide the firmware for me which should work but yea.. Will phone Hisense SA to check the issue about 5ghz but doubt they will be able to assist.
Go to the sound balance option, go to it and type in 1969 a green M should appear, this will give you the option to change regions on the backend. Australia might be there?

Hi @Hisense SA do you have a link to another download site? Just getting network errors after extremely slow download speeds.

I also struggled for about a while to get it to download. It will download for a looooong time and then says network failed. So I started the download at 12 midnight (7th attempt) and went to bed. it was done in the morning

My 55b8000w does 5ghz
Did you update to a newer firmware or did it do it out of the box? I would love to have my main TV in the lounge connect to the 5Ghz band because everything else is just congesting my 2.4Ghz. Besides mine and the wife's phones and my laptop, eve3rything else can only connect to the 2.4Ghz.

I ended up wiring my lounge, got a cheap CAT 6 cable, ran it through the ceiling and connected it to a switch. Even on 5Ghz it wasn't the best experience, as 5Ghz requires the router to be really close by the looks of it and as little walls as possible between it.

That's actually the reason why I asked Vuma to install my ONT in my garage against the wall directly behind my TV. After I connected my router I planned on getting someone I know to drill a hole right through that damn wall so I can connect the TV via cable. Only to be told by a friend of mine that it's a double wall. The verdict is still out there on how I can get the cable to the TV. I actually planned to also feed the power from the garage (the garage door motor's socket is only a few centimeters to about a metre away from where I planned on having the hole drilled).

Since my TV is wall mounted, it would have been a nice clean install with no cables visible from the lounge, but now I have the power cable coming down. I haven't given up yet though :)

What about through the roof?

Just get a long drill bit

Get the B558000uw, its new 2019 model with dolby vision and dolby atmos.

What is the max refresh rate of that model? On Makro's page it just says 50Hz clear motion rate, which I think is a bit low?

For R7000 it seems decent, I just want something that produces a fast enough refresh rate for watching sports. Guess I'll need to check it out in store for myself.

The stickers said 100hz that makro had sticker-ed on it.

Def cost more 7000, this one is 10k at makro.
Netflix is 100% smooth and bright and stuff just looks good on it!

Its 11k atm, but was 10k yesterday on special.

Sorry, I looked at the B557100UW by accident. The one you linked is correct. Will keep an eye on it for when it goes on special once more.
