[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

Good TV depending on price.
Saw it a while ago for as low as 15999.
Great for HDR content and great for reflection handling. So excellent for bright room.
I'd still go b8600 for Dolby vision and Atmos and save the money.
And if you into audio. Samsung doesnt allow DTS passthrough via optic. None of them do.
I found one second hand but sealed for 14k can maybe bring the guy down to 13.5k. Would you say thats a good price for the Q7FN? My main concern with Hisense is the interface and comparability with apps such as DSTV Now etc. As I see many people seem to have an issue

That's more an issue with the B7100 or 6100 models the true entry level one.

The 55 q8600 is R11999
At Dion and makro. I recall seeing the 65 at R16999 but can't remember where.

I'm waiting for hopefully a even better price on BF
65Q8600UWG R14999 at Esquire atm, using them as the benchmark for Hisense prices, they only give the collect option at checkout though. Wow, R19381 at Loot

I recently bought the 55B8000, but it does not find any WiFi or connect to ethernet. I also cannot switch on Bluetooth. Has anyone had a similar experience?

Sounds like a dud, return it for a new one.

As said above it might be a dud. Just check the CEC settings and make sure store mode is off. I don't know if any of that will help though.

Thanks. I'm going to try a firmware update first, and if that does not work I will do as suggested.

Optic has no "standard" from what I understand hence it is not being allowed. Should work from the hdmi arc port.

Hi All, I would like some opinions please.

I'm thinking of upgrading to either a 55B7100UW or 65B7100UW or 58B7200UW or 55B8000UW - currently i'm using a 32" Samsung FHD from about 8 years ago. Budget below 10K.

The TV is plugged into my PC 24/7, its used to stream (sports, netflix, showmax, ect..), gaming and work (typing and such). i will probably start using the smart features as it will save on electricity as i will not need to use my PC the whole time, but i will still use it a lot.

Which would be a better option?
Not sure if i want bigger or better o_O but all of them should be to what i currently have.

If you're planning on using these as a desktop replacement (which it sounds like), I would not recommend these. Anything bigger than 50" is unbearable when sitting at a desk.

The smart features are a bit lacking compared to a PC, it definitely won't replace your PC.

I would go for the B8000 if you want decent picture. I think it's the best bang-for-buck TV in the hisense range.

Does anyone have experience with the Samsung RU7100 range? How do they compare to the B7100 or B7200's? Salesman at Makro says that it compares closer to the B8000, but I highly doubt that.

Hi KaMoS, ah sorry I should have mentioned that I use it in the living room and not at a desk like a monitor.

I also thought that the B8000 is the best bang for my buck, then it's probably the best option. From what I could gather it has the best spec.

It will also make reading on it so much easier than on my current 32" sitting about 2 - 3m away .

Regards

Any news on the HDR / Dolby Vision pop up display that is missing on the Q8600?
It is very frustrating having to go through sub - sub -sub -menus to confirm the source display.

Hi

I have a 55k321uw and works very nice for me, the Netflix streaming at 2160p is great.

I have one issue however, every now and then the thing goes funny and I have to sign in to Netflix every time I use Netflix which very frustrating. I will be fine for weeks and then suddenly for a week or 2 I have to sing in every time.

Have anyone else had the same issue?

Please check what firmware you have. This is the latest on I have.

South Africa’s top-selling TV brand apparently.

Assembled in Atlantis in the Western Cape (in the ex-Tedelex, ex-Panasonic factory) from Chinese parts.

Longer warranty than some of the other brands.

no problems with my 39” HiSense in 7 years - and I still often admire its superior stereo sound.

Does anyone have the issue where their Ultra Smooth Motion will turn itself back on after putting the TV in standby, even though the setting is still set to off? Then you have to turn the setting on and back off for it to work, until you put the TV in standby again?
