I just looked at the RTINGS video where they compared the Q60R/T with the Q70R/T. Saw exactly the same as you mentioned. Is there any new Q70R around to buy?If possible I would suggest getting last years Q70R, be it new if anyone still has them or 2nd hand ( I know there are some on gumtree). The price should still be cheaper than this years Q70T but the performance will be much better. Also, OLED's might be around the R20k range for the 55BX or 55C9.

But if i pay now i could win a 32" samsung tv![]()
I believe that the X9000 we get here is more or less the same as the X950 overseas. The 65inch is R30k at Incredible ConnectionThanks, could you perhaps recommend any other affordable TVs with VRR and 2.1 HDMI? I see the HDR brightness isn't great on the Q70T and it's slightly overpriced compared to similar TVs. The Sony X950G / X950H got great reviews internationally but I can't find pricing in South Africa
55" now R12999. And the 65 inch is R19k now (Out of stock). I still wouldn't buy it above R15k.Hisense U8QF 55" LED Matrix UHD Smart TV

Fortunately the viewing size goes up exponentially as you climb the ladder. So 42" -> 50" sounds like only a few inches, but it's an increase of 41% in viewing area.Looks like everyone wants a 65". But they are so expensive, Im upgrading from a 42" so the 55" is still a big upgrade for me.

That being said, the rule of thumb is to always go for the biggest size you would prefer, and then take one size above that one.
Hisense supports Dolby Vision which is getting more and more popular whereas the Samsung does not.Would you guys go for the Hisense U8QF or the Samsung Q70? I watch movies/series mostly.
Think I will be most interested in HDR...

no model number listed, but seems to be HDR10/Dolby Vision.
Depends... If you're going to be using it for the next gen consoles, then I'd go for the Samsung as it supports HDMI 2.1 which has numerous benefits for gaming.Would you guys go for the Hisense U8QF or the Samsung Q70? I watch movies/series mostly.
