[Personal Experiences] Hisense TV's

I noticed now only hdmi port 1 on my 55b8000 does hdr10/Dolby vision is that a hardware limitation? Or could software update fix that.

Ps5 running on hdmi 1 now but now Apple TV 4k does not have Dolby vision :(

All 4 ports on my b8000 support Dolby Vison/HDR 10. Tested with my xbox. Have you tried playing a DV/HDR 10 video from a usb while the console or Apple TV is also plugged in?

Seems Apple TV is fine on hdmi 4 running Dolby vision, just the ps5 is not happy using hdmi 4. Hdr not picking up on hdmi 4. But yeah not an issue as Apple TV is fine using hdmi 4

If you haven't done it yet, make sure HDMI is set to enhanced and not standard on the TV. Each input needs to be done individually. If it's on standard, it won't allow 4k input.
 
I would stay away from Hisense. They still refuse to repair the TV because of the broken optical port cover.

Spend a bit more and get a good quality project.

I'm going to end up selling my 65 q8600. Life's too short to deal with **** like this

About that, asked the guy at Kloppers about this and he said no chance. They swap it out if it's in warranty.
They swapped one out that morning, the elite model though. Gave the customer a new tv and sent him on his way.

I bought it last year black Friday.

They came out saw the clip broken and said it's customer cost to fix.

That was a 10 month old TV.

Cost to repair is about R1500 which is a new MB.

The issue is 6 months or less is the repair replace refund as per CPA. After 6 months it doesn't apply

Did Hisense send someone or was it the store you bought it from. If you bought it from a store, which one?

Like I said, Kloppers seems to just swap out if it's in warranty, this is where i bought mine.

Hisense came out to assess and replace. The tech had the MB with him and said he can't repair because if the clip.

Purchased from Hirsch's.

And they had the nerve to launch the U8QF at R30k! Even their special price is over priced.

In terms of spending more on a better brand, the same logic applies to most Hisense products.

Do not buy a Hisense fridge because you will get a water dispenser whether your fridge comes with one or not.
 
Hi, looking at replacing my Hisense 43n3000uw with 55a7200f (the Android version). I want to know can I install any apps due to android? Specifically DSTV Now, Showmax and Amazon. Any feedback would be great thanks!

Yes, it uses the official android TV OS.

Thanks! That is great news as the Hisense 43n3000uw only has a stupid Opera OS thing which doesn't allow for these specific apps. Do you perhaps know if it's possible to side load them somehow?

Yes, but I've seen many people complaining about the u8qf and was wondering whether the same complaints are applied to the u7qf.
