Petition started to remove judge over rape comments

I must say that I admire the tenacity of MyBB posters to keep a thread alive. We have digressed so far from the original point. We all actually agree she made a serious mistake, which will cost her, her career. I personally got so caught up in the stats debate, that I totally missed the ball.

Lol, Welcome to the forum.

It's like being in a love / hate relationship. Always wanting to get the last word in.

It does make sense in the context of the discussion...

Unfortunatly most in this country can't get the context. And to confuse it more there are other posts between those, and on Facebook many totally lose the plot. Drawing a map for them outlining the discussion doesn't even work.

Not a surprise that most myBb forum members tend to be biased when it comes to race discussions... not everyone but most. In my culture rape is horrible and leads to mob justice where one can be killed.

Unfortunately now you contribute to crime when you kill someone as part of a mob.

1. Who are these "most" members? Rape is abhorrent, regardless of race, colour creed or culture.

2. I do not agree with mob justice. We have a police force. They must do their job. And so must the community in coming forward as witnesses and helping SAPS with the building of the case against the perpetrators.

PS. I've just returned from a SAPS meeting where exactly this (2) was discussed.

I don't know if she made a mistake. :)

Well said by Zizi Kodwa

ANC spokesperson Zizi Kodwa says while Jansen’s utterances are unfortunate, not all members of the judiciary share her beliefs.

“We can’t assume that everybody within the bench, regardless of their colour, thinks in the same way. There are always good and bad apples and she represents bad apples. I think her conduct must be investigated.”

Her comments are trending on RT.

User feedback is interesting. ..

A gem I got from there :

it may be stereotypical, it may be racist, but there is nothing morally wrong with being racist. the races are different in their physiological and mental abilities. racists facts: asians have small ding-dongs, blacks have big ones. whites are more prone to hypocrisy, blacks are more prone to violence.

truth is ugly and hurts, doesn't it ?
- real gem
