Petition started to remove judge over rape comments

I would like to see the complete exchange between Schutte and Jansen to see whether indeed there was a context that has been excluded.

I don't know Jansen but Schutte has a decidedly arrogant and self-righteous agenda of promoting the demand for white guilt.

I sometimes wonder whether she thinks that because she has a black partner that she is above all of us 'guilty' whiteys.

Same here, we have only seen cherry picked quotes with no context.

The judge statements on face value appear unfortunate even if it contains some truth.

Fact is this is SA where certain truths should never be uttered.

I've quoted various sources and stats in this thread already that shows this culture, obviously ignored by the usual suspects.

Not a surprise that most myBb forum members tend to be biased when it comes to race discussions... not everyone but most. In my culture rape is horrible and leads to mob justice where one can be killed.

Mob justice, another part of the culture.

You are so full of nonsense, honestly, talking like you're now an expert in african culture... smh

There are rapists in every society and race, and this is not the issue at hand. The judge said that rape is more pervasive with black culture as most black men do not see it as a serious issue (Zuma, malema etc..). Raping of a child to cure yourself from aids is also one of many excuses used by some black men to justify their actions.

It is really a sad day when the truth is confused for racism.

There is no such a thing as black culture, so everything from that point is a lie. I would also like you to show which studies you used to ascertain that most black men do not see it as a serious issue (as opposed to men of other races).

It is really a sad day when the bigotry and racism is confused for truth.

You know on myBB when white people are blamed for apartheid and all the white people here, very indignantly say they were not responsible and there parents were never racist and you can't paint all white people with the same brush and it wasn't our fault and yada yada yada - but these same people (yes vrotappel, I'm looking at you) are more than happy to make sweeping generalizations about black people and proclaim it the 'truth' smh

There is no such thing as black culture.

maybe reading it for the second time will help

Why so serious?

I am just trying to get the hang of orchestrating witch hunts. History has shown that this is a useful skill to have once the revolution arrives. For example, you are clearly an intellectual :)

Who are you calling a horse :p

but seriously, I don't see that a perceived underground rape culture in Khayelitsha is now used by you as representative of every black person on the continent, or every African culture (of which there are over 100 different cultures).
Even the fact that they call it 'underground' means it's not a part of any mainstream culture.

Zulu/Xhose culture then? Please advise on the aspects of South African culture that give unelected tribal kings (13 of them), costing R650 million of taxpayers money per year and why are only black tribes allowed to have royal figures, how does this practise have any traction in our current society?

This might not be an example of black culture but it is an example of the cultural practise of each of these kingdoms.. Call it Zulu culture, Xhosa culture or whatever but simply saying it doesn't exist is a riduculous argument until you can point out why the white/Indian/coloured population does not have similar position of hereditary power and government income.

Polygamy, the traditional slaughter of animals, adult circumcision are all examples of various cultural practise that are not practised by any other population group. Fine, calling it black culture is a generalisation but these practises do exist and they are tied fundamentally to the tribal culture in this country.

Unelected Kings? you starting to sound funny, I wonder who elected the great Queen?

And why are only black tribes allowed to have royal figures? you seriously expect an answer for that, from me?
I will whisper something to Zuma about allowing white tribes to have royal figures.:)

Sorry, I thought we where talking about South Africa?

Don't bother - I don't want white monarchs, I was highlighting the ridiculous situiation of having a constitution which says we are all equal but pays 13 hereditary rulers outrageous amounts of money per year.. If you can justify that, without mentioning culture, please feel free...

For example, you are clearly an intellectual:)

It's an honour.....
that I don't deserve
according to the the judge.

apparently an honour of a different kind is more suited to me and my type:(

Which judge says you can't have the honour of being called an intellectual?

Sorry, I thought we where talking about South Africa?

We do have a Queen in South Africa.

I will justify paying my King when someone justifies paying the Queen, since this paying of Mornachs is such an absurd and backward practice which is not taking us forward.
