Philips Airfryer - anyone have?

Sorry. Yes 175." 275 only get unlocked after 300 meals.
hahaha, the 1st time I made chicken, I used your recommendation of around 165-175C and it was great - this time around I blasted it at 200C and my house was filled with smoke and chicken tastes no better - so I'll stick to your temps next time :)

I think hotter can go faster but you can easily dry it if in for a bit too long. It also depends on the size of the pieces.

Thanks to this thread, I'm looking at getting one of these. Yuppiechef has accessories btw

I've got a cake pan form crazy store that fits. I use it to heat stuff when I don't want to soil the entire basket... I have also cooked some fish fingers in it. Works good enough. 20190110_182430.jpeg

I went oil shopping today.... and got some marrow bones as well :)

I could not find the "Simple Truth refined coconut oil spray" at PnPay, so went to Checkers, where it was supposedly on special at R35 IIRC - bought 2 ;)
Also got some westfalia Avo oil, plain, butter and lemon flavoured - will test them soon to see if they produce less smoke - they state a 250C smoke point, so should be better?

Awesome, dying to see those marrow bones!

Made some marrow bones this afternoon.
Fryer on 180C, 10min one side and another 8mins after turning.
Before putting in fryer, I salted, peppered, garlic flaked and a bit of piri-piri spice, with a dash of lemon avo oil on top.
Made two slices of toast and added some worcestershire sauce to the one slice.

Delicious!! but very rich, as most know - tripple Red Heart and coke, took some of the oiliness away afterwards ;)

Sounds and looks delicious! Definitely going to look for some marrow bones this week. Thanks for sharing

Question for the Philips XL owners, do you folk notice that the handle of the XL basket gets considerably hot? I used mine for around 20 min at 180 and the handle was quite hot to the touch. It that normal or is there something wrong with mine?

I have used the previous (smaller) air fryer and the handle will stay cool even after an hour of continuous use

No. That doesn't sound right.
