Bought an XXL Advance(9650) last week. My first airfryer, as all I have in the house is a Combi-magnetron and induction plate.Choices choices.... Is it really worth R1300 more
Has anyone got the XXL and can vouch for it?

I want to buy an airfryer (also my first purchase) I just want to make sure the extra money spent on the XXL is not wasted (vs getting the standard XL).Bought an XXL Advance(9650) last week. My first airfryer, as all I have in the house is a Combi-magnetron and induction plate.
I have nothing to compare it to, but it is brilliant. Everything comes out awesome. Chicken, pork, vegies, banana bread, frozen chips, you name it.
What is your concerns?
Have no idea if it is worth it. It does have a slightly bigger capacity and newer technology, if you look at the pic posted.I want to buy an airfryer (also my first purchase) I just want to make sure the extra money spent on the XXL is not wasted (vs getting the standard XL).
You missed this one: Twin Turbostar tech.Yeah from what I've read it's only a few things:
Marginally bigger
Slighty more powerfull
New design which creates less oily food
Easier to clean tray
NO presets
MORE expensive
Twin turbotech is the newer less oil techYou missed this one: Twin Turbostar tech.
What do you mean by “No presets”?
For a bigger family the XXL makes sense. Go for it if you have the space! Preset is useless as they only give you one preset on the XL. I never use it as every meal is different. I still use lots of olive oil! I didn't buy it to save on oil, lol.Yeah see this will be for a family of 4/5
Sorry should have mentioned upfront

Apparantly with the XL you can progam presets for they way you cook your dishes.
I'm guessing it's things like :
160 for 10 minsfollowed by 220 for 2 mins

My goodness. Finally got to take my air fryer out and use it tonight.
Before
After
Was the most amazing chicken skin I have ever had. Crispy, moist and delicious.
Used coconut oil to oil the chicken and a few different herbs and spices.
180 degrees for 27 minutes.
Nice.. and that's the XL right?
We did some brinjal / eggplant slices in the air fryer last night, coated in parmesan & some spices. Flavour was good, but texture was awful - vegetable leather is the only way I can think to describe it. I'll stick to roasting veggies in the oven, me thinks![]()
Roasted baby marrow with other vegies and it came out awesome????I tried baby marrows!!! Awful! Never again. There are some things that just do not work.
