Photo review workflow advice

Hi There

I would like to find out what would be the best way to quickly review photos on the Mac and delete bad photos using the standard software on the Mac or if you can advise some good Open source software to use

Been using Preview but it's such a pain because you must exit Preview before you can delete a photo.

Help me I'm desperate, have a impatient woman on my case.

My workflow is really bad! So ill be following this thread...

iPhoto should do the trick or if you want to do some heavier lifting, and don't mind splashing out a few bucks then aperture.

Of course you can always use quick view to go through and delete one by one.
