Picture break up

Hi guys

My DSTV dish was installed 2 yrs ago or so, i run the older HD PVR with 4 tuners. Twin LNB

Lately ive been seeing a bit of picture break up from time to time on some channels. When i look at tuner status the horizontal looks ok at usually 100% for quality and strength. The vertical sits at 100% and ~85%. Would this be the cause? Maybe i need a re-alignment?

Could be that your cabling is faulty or LNB, since that we had to do when we had that.

I have been experiencing the same thing over the last few days, and suspect it is caused by solar flare (sun-spot) activity as it is particularly on the overseas channels and not on the local (e-tv or SABC) channels. http://www.tesis.lebedev.ru/en/sun_flares.html

In my case its every few seconds on some channels, others are fine....
