Please Critisize My Site

also, whoever resized all the logos located at the bottom of the page is very lazy!!! They must fix it up. They are out of proportion and illegible in some cases.

your site looks like $%^&%%$## #$%%^ ##$$ and $!@##$% not to mention the %^&%%$##$ %^$%^&

Seriously the speed is the biggest problem, i don't have a huge problem with the colors and would recommend to add as much pics (products) as possible just to round it off nicely

Hi.

It is actually a script that resizes all images automatically. They are all perfectly in proportion to the original logo I used ... at least on any web browser i've used ... what web browser do you use ... maybe there is a compatability issue with resizing for certain sites. Unfortunately I can't do anything about some illegible cases because the logos are just too small. I plan to take out some of the waste of time brands and just show the important ones at the bottom. Then maybe have a page dedicated to all brands as someone suggested.

Lol ... Thanks for the criticism :P

I know there is a huge speed issue ... its got something to do with the SQL database. As someone suggested earlier in the forum ... I am going to rebuild the website from scratch with osCommerce as the start ... except this time, developers will do it, not me ... so when the new site comes out ... it won't (or shouldn't) be slow anymore.
In terms of colours and layout and stuff ... thats one of the reasons I have this forum ... the site is being completely redesigned ... and everything will change. The only thing that will stay the same is the logo ... I personally really like it ... it was made by my friend who is a graphic designer ...

do you guys like the logo (not the size relative to the site, speaking of which ... do you think its too big on the site)?

Its hard to have pics for 1200 products and when that increases to 2 or 3 thousand, it will be even harder ... but my first objective is to get the site flowing smoothly, and that might also mean having to delete product data and start from scratch ... so in the mean time, I am not adding more pics.

Synergy has given me some really good tips, so I'm sure I need not be any help. What is ur website Synergy?
 
If any of you had items in a shopping cart and were on the checkout, what made you, would make you turn away?

Lol Synergy ... just checked out your site ... I understand its under contruction ... but while it is ... change the background, its not easy to read the text :P
 
Yep I know. was worse before. too busy to update it. Got a complete new design/site ready

Oh thats cool ... are you gonna be selling computer parts and stuff? I think by this time next year, every gamer and computer boff and anyone else that uses a pc will have an online website selling pc's :P
We need to be different, now just to find a way to bring in alienware ;)

Hi Guys.

Do you guys have an osCommerce designers / developers that you recommend ... I was going to use Synergy, but he won't be able to do it before I think December.
I have quite a tight budget, but Synergy was within my budget and so is www.estart.co.za ... but I don't like their site, and they stopped returning my mails ... so I dropped them.

If any of you are developers / designers but know exactly what you are doing when it comes to PHP and MySQL ... please contact me ... I will be wanting an original osCommerce or preferably oscMax design ... as well as some extra contributions ... and I will need to move data from old database to the new one.

All help is appreciated ...

Hi guys ... my website is finally up ... although there are still bugs that need to be looked for example, there is a problem with the product images for products with no image ... it should show a blank image. Please let me know what you think of the new site, and if there are any changes you think I should make ... please inform me. The link is the first one below.
