I am hoping all of this will get me off to a great start on streaming/gameplay/video editing+rendering - speed is a factor, I currently use a toshiba laptop and it takes forever to render my recordings. Other than that it actually does okay with pentium core i5, 8gb ram, nvidia gpu but I am a sucker for better graphics and more cores at the moment so I am bargaining on feeling a great sense of overall improvement with this new pc and wont have time for buyers remorse...hopefully.

I think you will have a nice setup, compared to what you had, it is going to be awesome.

Did look at rebeltech too yes but wootware is in cape town and I thought it might be better for after purchase service as it is local.
I thought they should build it as it isnt that much more of a fee? I can do it but it will be my first build in years so am definitely out of touch.

It is not difficult to build, works all like a puzzle. But let them put it together, test and make sure everything is working before they ship. That way you avoid having to ship an item back because it might not work for some reason.

With online shopping I have made piece with having to include shipping fees every time an item has to go back under warranty. But the turn around time should be shorter because they are local.

Wow that was fast. so wootware responded...does this sound about right to you guys?

Good day Jaun

Thank you for contacting us. Please note: Windows 8 would not be compatible with this system and you would need to purchase or make use of Windows 10 for the latest AMD Ryzen system you have chosen.

In terms of both streaming and gaming on games such as SIMS 4, we would recommend at least a graphics card with up to 4GB of VRAM and therefore would recommend the following model:

Palit GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Dual OC NE5105TS18G1-1071D 4GB GDDR5 128-bit PCI-E 3.0 Desktop Graphics Card - R 3,929.00 incl. VAT on sale @ R 2,899.00 incl. VAT

The chassis chosen does not have a slot for a DVD-Writer, however you can purchase an external DVD-Writer which uses USB for power, though this is not always necessary if you are able to get a copy of Windows on a USB flash drive.

All items fit in the chassis that you have chosen and the CPU chosen includes a CPU cooler. The Chassis chosen includes USB ports and would provide sufficient cooling for the intended use.

As long as you have a cable to connect to your monitor / TV to the graphics card, all other cables should already be included and we will insure all cables / parts are installed when we do the PC build for you.

Ultimately the six core processor will help with the streaming and the graphics card suggested with the frames in game while streaming.

Please do not hesitate to let us know if there is anything else we can assist you with.

Support has stopped for Windows 8 so it makes sense that it is not supported by the newer technologies. That said, I don't have experience with AMD.

Will you be able to afford the GeForce GTX 1050 Ti Dual OC?

Don't get an RX550 - 4Gb or not.

Rather get a 1050 2GB than a 4GB RX550.

Also see Ancalagon response above, although he will probably have to tell you why he says so.

I know Windows 10 is not available, but still take a chance and download it and enter your Windows 8 key.

https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10
"Using the tool to create installation media (USB flash drive, DVD, or ISO file) to install Windows 10 on a different PC (click to show more or less information)"

If it doesn't work, just phone Microsoft and tell them you are doing a clean install on a PC and Windows doesn't want to except the key. Maybe they will activate it?

If you have to buy Windows 10, try to go for the Pro version.

Edit:

R 4 299,00 for Windows 10 Pro on Microsoft web page!!! Are they stupid!!!:eek:

R2,999.00 from Wootware. Might get it cheaper asking on the Forum. I remember someone was selling some keys.

The 1050 is faster than an RX560.

The RX550 is more cut down than a RX560. So, the 1050 will be a lot quicker than the 550.

I feel like I should leave the Windows for now and try and figure something else out while they Wootware gets going with the build. Can always get it a bit later if need be. R165 in above link is a much better price if I am understanding that correctly. thanks for that. I have a copy of windows 7 but think I am being dumb and can just put my current windows 10 on a usb.(that is on my toshiba laptop now- trying this with the tool now.)

I am however confused about the graphics card now though...

so this is not the one I should get as recommend by Wootware?

My personal opinion GeForce GTX 1050 Ti is a good choice vs the Radeon card.

I just don't know anything about the 'Palit' brand, and only comes with 2 year warranty vs MSI (R3 600) with 3 year warranty with a bit higher boost clock OC mode.

Maybe someone else can vouch for Palit brand?

When it comes to a GPU I prefer minimum 3 year warranty as the OC cards can work very hard.

U can run win10 unlicensed. It just has a watermark and you cant chance certain cosmetic things...

But try the win8 key

1050tis are prettymuch all equal
