Overall: was extremely happy with WA but must say in the last 4-6 months have found that their system is not as smooth as it used to be. Used to be awesome with very little line drops but now get constant line dropping and even sometimes the account does not login correctly when starting up router and computers. It can take aboout 5 attempts to get in.

Improvement: go back to the WA speed, latency and constant connection I used to have.

Account: 10mbps home uncapped

Overall: I used to rave about WA to all who asked, but for the past month or so their service has gone downhill fast. I get high latency, poor speed, disconnects. I phoned their support line and they laid blame somewhere else. They didnt listen when I told them that when I connect via my afrihost account I have no problems. Pitty, though I really enjoyed my WA account in the past. I am presently shopping for a new service provider.

Been having trouble with my line stability but this is a Telkom problem. WA have been stellar with regards to support.

Now to rate Telkom...

How can WebAfrica make me happier?
Freezone is awesome and it is great knowing that Steam purchases will very likely not affect my cap. But seeing the "Beta" label in the usage console is a little disconcerting. Is it going to go away or is it going to stay?!

Speed: Great - especially for STEAM downloads. I once hit close to 10mbps
Latency: No worries here
Support: I seldom have to wait long for a response to a support ticket. Props to WAJeff in particular, who helped me get started with ADSL
Value for money: Top notch
Overall: Delighted. My only regret is not opting for Titan Plan 2 now that I want to download console demos.

Account: Web Africa Titan Plan 1 [4mbps, 15Gb, Freezone, R299] :-)

I jumped on board when they ran the titan special. I've only experienced excellent service from WA. Their support centre agents
are always willing to help and stick with an issue until it's sorted. They actually listen to my problem, instead of just following some kind of step-by-step manual like the people from telkom does. I've also moved my line to WA, so I've had no interaction with telkom's incompetent call centres since then. The less time I have to spend talking to telkom, the better.
Their Freezone is a big bonus along with their steam servers being part of the Freezone. I use that a lot.
Their WA ADSL Usage site really makes it easy to keep track of my cap and manage it accordingly.
