Switched our office Plugg uncapped to a AH capped account and it's flying. Cape Town city bowel.
Hi biometrics
When you say "office" Plugg account, is this a "home" Plugg account used at the office? If it is a normal Plugg home account then one cannot really compare the two, and are maybe expecting too much from it?
This brings me to another conundrum then, regarding the concurrent connections, which are meant to be used by the same account holder in two locations at different times. If one had to do this, ie: use the account during the day and end up moving sufficient data to affect ones star rating, then all that accomplishes is creating a non functional account during the day, making the concurrent option meaningless.
As Janitor says, the extent of the shaping we have been experiencing of late is not normal. I agree, it's not, and I'm sure you can agree, it never used to be this bad.
At the end of the day I don't blame you for ditching Plugg, because this is the ISP's job at the end of the day, to make sure things work consistently.
I still maintain that this is a IPC capacity issue because of all the Mweb hogs that moved since the new throttling policy, and unfortunately it takes so damn long to increase IPC bandwidth and we all know who to thank for that.
I wish ICASA/DOC would ban capped, shaping and IPC and make everything uncapped like 99% of the world. This way, economies of scale will kick in and the network won't fall over everytime apple or windows release updates, or the next GOT gets released
