One annoying thing with the latest version of Pokemon go is that you cannot listen to music with the app open anymore.

Which sucks.

I used to be able to have Google Music and Pokemon Go running at the same time - but doesn't look like that works anymore.

Are you on android ?

I can swipe down and the widget lets me press play, most sound apps have a swipe down widget. I listen to audiobooks while I play.

Murders the battery though.

Not sure why I hadn't tried that - but it worked :D

Many thanks.

It does.

Start music.
Start pogo.
Music pauses.
Pull down notifications and unpause music enjoy...

Poweramp's widget get shut, quickest way to get the music back is to unplug the headphones and plug them back in again but it is VERY frustrating

For iOS users the sound is dampened to about 70-75% and the only way I get it to comeback is to use a 2ndary app to push alerts every so often. It sucks.. I've logged a bug with them about this but thus far nada..

Ps this happens as soon as the app opens

Seems like there was a Pokemon spawn shakeup. In the Sandton CBD I'm seeing Growlithe, Paras, Parasect & Mankey which never use to show up in the area I work in. But I'm also seeing the same kind of Pokemom which use to show up on the list before.

What's everyone's current km count on their walked distance. Mine is currently 184.1 km. I'm trying to think if I would have been this active without Pokemon Go.

i played for a while, given up due to boredom but i found at home there were no pokemon. you find them most in parks and highly populated areas - the point is to get you out to fun places so many businesses have offered their establishments as poke stops where pokemon tend to "hang out". What area are you situated in? in Durban the best places to go are botanic gardens, mitchell park, the bird park, ushaka (all fun places that tourists or a lot of people would hang out). There are almost no pokemon in rural areas or farmlands. An easy way to check if it is your app or if there are actually no pokemon is to install ingress on your phone and run it simultaneously - where there are energy spots on ingress there should be pokeom on pokemon go as they were designed with the same basics. Hope it helps :D

hey LollyLudlow. welcome to myBB.
thanks for the post.

but please, work on your writing. that wall of text made me loose my breath while reading it. try paragraphs and sentences, it really helps getting the message across.

also, we discussed the ingress XM use a couple of pages ago, probably about 2 or 3 moths ago actually.

suspensions runnig around at the moment that its a december 7th release.

also, the CP calculated in the article is before the latest CP cahnges. Blissy can reach 2500 CP at level 40 now. #justsaying.

I have the Zubat, onix and Chancey Candies. my Chancey I even powered up to be 1007 CP (also 97% IV) I use her to be the second pokemon when presieging a gym. works really well, if anything faints I have a chansey with 370HP to just pound the bejeesus out of the last few hits of what I am fighting.

last night I tanked her though a 2000CP vape, 2300 Rhydon and a 2300 Arcanine. I had less than 5 seconds left in every fight but still she took all 3 in a row without dying herself.
when Blissy comes along, and she gets say, 600HP, and can reach up to 2000CP, a level 10 Gym full of Blissy will not be taken down.

All of 79.5km for me - but I did take a couple month hiatus from playing :)

I jsut hatched 9 eggs.
6 5K
3 10K

I was aiming to hatch all of that in the event, but I did not walk enough....

Snorlax, Chansey, Ghastly and Grimer are the highlights.

pity the Snorlax after poewred up as much as I have candies and stardust is only 2265 CP. it does not even crack my top 20.
I have a lot of really high Rhydon (and I have transfered about 4 as well) and Arcanine, and Golems that are all over 2400CP.
