I jsut hatched 9 eggs.

I was aiming to hatch all of that in the event, but I did not walk enough....

Snorlax, Chansey, Ghastly and Grimer are the highlights.

pity the Snorlax after poewred up as much as I have candies and stardust is only 2265 CP. it does not even crack my top 20.
I have a lot of really high Rhydon (and I have transfered about 4 as well) and Arcanine, and Golems that are all over 2400CP.

I am level 30 now.

Would have been 31 or 32 if I still did lucky egg evolution. But I slowed down at level 29 so my wife can catch up. She is 26 now.

I have been claiming for T least 10 gyms every day since August.

Back then I had to drive and take down 10 gyms every night. But then I hit a rythim.
I have 11 level 10 gyms and the rest are lower.

I have not bought coins since the time I spoke about it when I used ebucks and Google play vouchers. And that was in June

I can only maintain to hold a single gym. Most I've held were 3 but those other gyms get taken often

Do you know if there is any app which can show you who's holding gyms around your area, or do you always just drive around?

I know my area pretty well. and its all Mystic, so I just make sure to get in and help get it to level 10.

there are some tracker apps out there that do show gyms.
but most of the current tracker apps require a few pokemon go accounts to do the scanning (that is used to find gyms and pokestops) and they all require constant authentication. its a pain to use.

out of principal I will not reccomend any, but its not difficuilt to find them, there is a sticky post about it on r/pokemongodev.

if the "new" tracker rolls out in south africa and Niantic does not listen to the rural americans complaining about it, I wiill share trackers directly because I firmy believe Niantic is trying to kill its own game.

if you know Pretoria, just off Rigel in Moreletta park, basically all of Rubenstein spawns Eevee. from the Moreletta Park Animal hospital all the way to the Spar, Eevee spawn constantly, not nest like behaviour, but the area has become very heavy in Eevee. you see them more than ratata or pidgey.
Abra has also started spawning here a lot.
plus if you are not team mystic, I would love some help in opening up a spot in 4 different level 10 gyms. the wife got kicked out of all of them yesterday and they were filled up by the time we got home.

I just learned something regarding Gen1\Gen2 Pokémon I never knew (regarding the evolutions of Gloom and Poliwhirl).
So question, How will Go handle the transition\decision between their final forms (both now have 2 possible final evolution forms)?

I just learned something regarding Gen1\Gen2 Pokémon I never knew (regarding the evolutions of Gloom and Poliwhirl).
So question, How will Go handle the transition\decision between their final forms (both now have 2 possible final evolution forms)?

well, in the games, Eevee cannot evolve without a stone. you choose Eevee's evolution.
Slowking, Tyrogue, Belossom, Umbreon,Espeon and Polytoad will most likely have some sort of in game easter egg to help pick the evolution.

slowking might be a third stage for Slowpoke, but I doubt it. I think only perfect IV slowpoke will evolve into slowking, that feels more fitting.
Tyrogue will be an interesting one, 3 paths in lee, Chan and Top. maybe nickname trick again?
that will most likely give us Umbreon and Espeon as well, though I have no idea what the nicknames will be, its not an easy one as there are no more eevee brothers.
Bellossom and Polytoad are interesting ones. it will be interesting to see what Niantic will have planned for that.


I should go farm Polywhil, slowpoke and oddish Candies....

Catch all the ratata, pidgey, ekans, zubat and mankey you find and keep hoping

I hope its not the naming thing again... would be fun to do something different.

Would be cool if they introduce items that you could hold. Then the Items are rare finds at Pokestops.

Just look for rats and pidgies that are double spawning. I got mine randomly.

Been doing that so far and no luck - most of my balls are finished - can't stock them up fast enough.

Double spawning doesn't seem to indicate Ditto in my experience.

The 2 I caught were from Zubat and they both (at different times) had spawned alone.

Likely a name change like Eevee, else its random. As Baxteen said, in the original game you need specific conditions to evolve to a specific pokemon. I feel the name change makes it simple for everyone, especially those not familiar with the game series
