Porn problem among SA teens

Dude - leave her.

Twice a month! Holy ****E, seriously? No No, okay. You living WITH her and you are making love twice a month. Something does not make sense.

Well as much as I just said that, because that is of personal opinion I am aware there are people that are very happy to have sex twice per month, as a couple, but then to make it work then that feeling between the two need to be mutual to a point.

I know at least three people currently married I can think about that have both admitted to me having a better sex life than that and speaking to the husband of those couples would think there may be something questionable going on if his own wife is not interested to a degree of what you specified.

Okay, thats about all that I am saying on that. As much as I may want to agree with the statement I quoted above I dont know if I can because it is up to you, if it were up to me then I (at this stage of how I am thinking at least) would not be very happy.

Unfortunately you may battle as after porn a lot of them do not lead very glamorous lives... in fact you will find a number that have committed suicide! Pity I could do with a couple of them in my closet.... :)

That is what I am referring to. I would love to see a "Where are they now?" type study illustrating how porn has either improved or degraded their life.

I remember watching a documentary on Ron Jeremy years ago. It was one of the saddest things I may have seen. The dude wanted to be an actor. he is famous for being a certain type of actor, but he just looked so lonely and depressed and pathetic. I would never wish that life on anyone. :(

Thanks for arguing for our side! I think this post of yours has proved the point! Perhaps that is why you edited it out...?

Edited it out, cause it probably doesn't prove anything. Perhaps I turned out the way I did because I was brought up with parents who allowed me a certain amount of freedom and let me make up my own mind about things like I first thought, or perhaps it was just because I was always a pretty well behaved, smart, quiet kid. Can't tell because Im an individual case, so I took it out..

If I thought you were right, Id argue for your side, but I think being a parent like you, probably makes things that are seemingly harmless before you become a parent, turn into evil monsters that are all out to get your children. One thing remains, if you tell your child what they can and can't do, there is a pretty good chance, they are going to be awfully curious. Especially in their teens, even good kids rebel. And like I already said, everything is relative. They will see your point of view for what it is, old fashioned and largely not applicable to their perspective of reality. If all we ever did was follow our parents advice we would all still be in the stone age.

guidance and control are probably a fine line when children and those kinds of emotions are involved, and I don't doubt being a parent is one of the hardest things to get right so I'm not gonna judge you or tell you how to raise your child, afterall Im not even sure I want to take on such a huge responsibility.

I definitely see your point of view, all Im saying is that there is more than likely a light at the end of the tunnel. Generations in the future. And I can see why, even if you did also believe that, that you would not want to have your child pay the price for future generations. I don't think its fair either.

Again you argue my point unwittingly. If you do not know sex exists when you are 12 (as I didn't as far as I can remember!) then you will not be curious about it. You cannot be curious about something you do not know about. It is not possible! See it in a movie or magazine and all of a sudden curiosity killed the cat!

Geezuz am I actually gonna agree with LancelotSA  :p But I do regards to if you don't see it/have access/know it exists you won't be that curious. Compare what my younger family members know to what I knew at that age ......... shocking actually.

Your parents said the same about you, and their parents about them and blah blah blah. Every generation thinks they are the last innocent generation.

If Im honest with myself, I was playing doctor doctor at the age of 4 with 2 different girls on a weekly basis. You learn what feels nice, and we are animals designed to procreate so.. You dont have to know what sex is. Its natural progression.

To some degree we all think sex is wrong. Because society made us that way. You want to stamp out the symptom, but not the cause. If we are such stupid animals that we can be so easily controlled by something aslong as its available to us, then we have two options. sort out our weaknesses, or stamp out availability. One of them is a solution, the other is a temporary work around. I say let things take its natural course at a MODERATE rate. Or we can opt for denial and continue to be obsessed with sex.

Here is my point of view.

As a 20 year old male, with no kids, I don't have any problem with my kids (one day) watching porn.

I know very well how I grew up. I had an awesome childhood with awesome parenting. I am a very morale and compassionate person. I do far above average in my studies, never got involved with drugs, except the occasional joint (but that's another debate).

I grew up just fine, and I would LOVE IT if my kids could have the same childhood as I did. Oh, did I mention that I love porn? I watch porn almost every day. I don't watch any ridiculously crazy, sick stuff, I watch porn. Good quality porn. I get myself off to it. It's natural. It didn't affect how I turned out at all. I’m a great guy.

This argument is similar to the person that starts drinking by having a few sips of beer and states that he is an above average individual and that alcohol has no affect on him. It is only many years down the line that it may manifest itself in a problem with alcoholism.....

Why be subjected to this "drug" at an extremely young age? Why not wait until the person is old enough?

Times have changed.

I dont really agree with you. As a kid, I was always allowed access to a glass of wine or a sip of beer at the dinner table (if it was there), but I never liked it because coldrinks always tasted better.

When I was in my late teens, I was allowed to drink beers around the family braai`s but I never thought much of it.

When we matriculated, I noticed that it was the kids who had had very strict parents that most often got the most wasted at the matric after party. I drink socially, but often there are other things I would rather be doing.

However, I suppose the complete opposite of that can be looked at. While I was allowed to drink it came with responsibility so I suppose being to careless with kids and booze is also a bad thing.

You are misinterpreting my post... the intention was to show that the problem is not immediately apparent. Yes, not everyone who sips a beer will become an alcoholic but for those who it does have an affect this will not immediately be apparent.... the same with porn... it may be affecting you on a level not immediately apparent. Especially if you are a very young age and still easily influenced by what you see and do...

I do agree with your last sentence. Your alcohol consumption was monitored in a way by your parents. The porn these kids are viewing is not at all...

grrr, my posts keep getting deleted for some reason. I think my argument must have been too profound for the mods to handle :D *jk*

Anyways, I wont post the same thing for the 3rd time just so it can get deleted.

I would also like to point out the fact that I'm a sperm doner. The sperm bank supplies us with porn as well. What do you guys think of that?

Your post is still above. You have only ever posted two posts on here and I can see them both. You are trying to be a little controversial for this forum however with some of the comments you are making.

Whats he said thats a little controversial for this this forum?

You obviously don't read many of the threads... like TK.

marine what are you talking about

where is a 5 year old going to get porn man

we talking about young teens not some tiny tots watching porno

i highly doubt a child of that age would know wtf is going anyway

way better than a 5 year old injecting a needle into its arm and becoming a druggie 5

how much do they pay for your sperm, i got some strong wimmers

R150 per donation.
I may go twice a week, but must abstain the day before each donation. They pay you R100 each time, and keep the R50's for when you finish donating for a certain period of time, which is roughly 9 months.

Anyways, back to the argument...
