Sorry i dont agree....if PARENTS still were the heads of house then this shlt would not happen
But no these days mommy and daddy say there you go have a PC with internet with no nanny program or supervision........
Bha this is because of lack of GOOD PARENTS in SA and around the world imho.

I have been watching movies that were 2-19y/o in those days eg Predator, but you dont see me running around shooting people or cutting their heads off
I also dont like porn being every where but i still feel that it only meens that PARENTS should be more alert

Unfortunately you may control your kids and ensure they have no access to porn but then some kid whose parents do not give a damn brings some cr_p to school and shows your innocent little Johnny. Or worse they try to act out something they have seen with your little Johnny.
Our little boy, at 9, is not even allowed to watch PG programs on TV due to the sexual connotations. He then gets upset because so and sos parents allow them to watch Bad Boys etc! Of course these kids then tell him all about what they saw and what happened indirectly exposing him to what we don't want him exposed to!!

Whereas kids these days watching etv softcore which is on once a week right? I dunno, i dont have tv, anywas.. they are probably like "Wow, like I have never seen big fake boobs before.." They probably have less of an obsession with etv than you did with scope, but its more available, so stats tell you that obsession has grown? I dont think so

Pixie, if I see a boob it does not mean that I then know what to do with one when I am in the presence of one, their existence is merely brought to my attention. If on the other hand I see a porn movie, or even softcore Etv porn, I am then made totally aware of what those parts are for and it makes me curious about what they can do and I want to do it! IT IS TOTALLY DIFFERENT!

You have clearly not read the thread... I for one am not opposed to porn. I am opposed to anyone under the age of 21 having access to it! And the thread clearly relates to porn amongst SA teens, so someone is obviously not keeping it to themselves!

My kid is still too young to go searching for stuff but it does concern me about the availability of it all.
Family computer = right in the highest traffic section of house with parental controls all over it (and no web cam either).

Unfortunately you may battle as after porn a lot of them do not lead very glamorous lives... in fact you will find a number that have committed suicide! Pity I could do with a couple of them in my closet....
