I think the thing that these units need is a battery health check .

I'm probably getting a small solar system - but no one will touch a used battery because of cycles & health. I'm probably just going to keep mine rather than get R2k for it

Kinda wondering what's the point if you have to plug in and out a few times a day? Wear and tear on the sockets as well.

Some people do keep theirs plugged in (like a ups). I only use mine on occasion, not even daily.
There is a automatic transfer switch on takealot that can be useful if you want to use it as a UPS and don't want to have it on 24/7.

I like Pieter and he has some useful videos but this one is a little thin on information. He didn't really go into Lifepo4 vs NCM. And his calculation did not take efficiency into account.

Btw he is a veterinarian and he quit his job to become a full-time YouTuber/ influencer.

Using an adapter prevents the wear and tear on the sockets.
