Hi all..
We are moving from a house, to a school premises.

The school already has a 1GB/s fiber line installed with Afrihost/Vumatel.
However I would prefer to bring along my own Mweb fiber service, as I have an excellent relationship with them, and despite what's being said about them, everything is rock solid, and I don't want my downloading, and sometimes heavy internet use to disrupt the staff who work at the school.

Would it be possible for Vumatel to install an additional ONT?
Thanks

Your ISP should be able to request for and motivate for an additional premise to be created at the school - reach out to them and ask them to try. Just bare in mind that school campuses are generally quite large and internal build factors may prohibit this build.

They might force pay for bussiness line asit being installed at a bussiness, which is super pricey.

Why? I'd just route traffic to your premises and you pay the school for what capacity you'd need for your place. You could ask the ISP but I am pretty sure they'd say to you either no or you'd have to pay a nice bit of cash to get it done, Point is you could do it on the network quite easily without any impact to the school.

We sponsor the 1Gbps for free for schools. Getting an additional line is probably the best option in this case. Mweb would need to log a premise creation request to see if it will get approved or not.

Yes free for school use, I remember reading a clause that implies limitation of use, or else you are opening a can of worms here @AfriNatic
