So a mate told me about this place and I needed some stuff from the UK. I was going to get stuff shipped to my mate there and then he was going to post via Royal Mail.
The problem with Royal Mail is that it comes to SA in a couple of days then goes to SAPO and then takes 6 weeks or more and might get stolen etc. This place you ship to them that side and they stick it on a plane (they are located next to heathrow) then courier it to you here. When I looked at the rates for Royal Mail and compared to the calculator on this site it worked out to about half the price (bargain!).

Anyway so I used them and am quite impressed. My friend posted the parcel to them on friday and I had it in my hands tuesday (delivered to my office so no having to mission to the post office and queue etc).

Anyways, just never seen them mentioned before here and I'm sure quite a few people could make use of their services (and no I'm not affliated with them in any way).

Looks like you have to swallow the UK VAT pill. Also no mention of insurance?

I have no idea about the VAT, maybe ask them but I somehow doubt it. I don't remember paying any but pretty much all my stuff was ordered from ebay.

It seems you are paying VAT in UK 22%(?). Reason is that vendor sends goods to the local post address, not exporting outside UK. In the case of expensive items paying VAT will cost more than saving on standard courier services.

Nice find, will give it a try. I usually have my sister send me things from the UK via Royal Mail, but had some similar experiences as the OP with delays and missing items. Normal courier is usually too expensive (depending on the item)...

Odd. I'll never properly understand the SAPO. I've seen packages from China and the likes arrive totally out of order etc. The one eg. took two months, while the next order arrived before the first one. Luckily all my recent packages via Royal Mail pitched up at my PO in like ~5 working days or less. Never had a delay on any of them.

I just used them, and all I can say is wow service is fantastic after the item got to them, next day it was with me in SA. This is fantastic.

plz share how much it cost you?

Mine cost exactly what the calculator on the site said it would.

Still no answer on insurance, anyone?

For small stuff, sure no problem, but what if you are looking to import something with high value?

Edit: Emailed them to ask. They responded by saying they will quote you on insurance if you require it, obviously it's value based. Kinda obvious, no.

They now have offices in the US (New York - if you want some genuine Sandy water) and Australia (Sydney - if you want a kangaroo) as well as the UK one (if you want to get stabbed by a chav mate).
