If you purchased a Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 hard drive that has stopped working, we would like to speak with you. We would like to speak with you even if you've already had your hard drive replaced by Seagate under warranty.

Owners of Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 hard drives are reporting that their hard disk drives are failing at alarming rates. These failures, which have been reported to be as high as 30 to 40%, are believed to arise from faulty firmware that can cause the drives to suddenly lockup and stop working. We are presently investigating a potential lawsuit against Seagate arising from the high failure rates of these hard drives. If you own a Seagate Barracuda 7200.11 hard drive that has suddenly stopped working (whether or not it has been replaced under warranty) and are interested in potentially bringing a lawsuit against Seagate, please respond to this website for a free consultation.

This is an advertisement for legal services from the law office of Kabateck Brown Kellner. Filling out this form is for investigational purposes only, and does not create an attorney-client relationship. The purpose of this Web site is to obtain information from potential plaintiffs for a proposed class action lawsuit.

WTF!? ALL these years they provided EXCELLENT HDDs... one faulty model later and everyone wants so sue them. Good grief, doesn't these people have any morals?

Probably because they won't admit that their drives have problems.

Huge censorship on their forums I believe.

It has nothing to do with morals, they are shipping a faulty product and denying that there are problems despite the overwhelming evidence to the contrary. I have about 8 of the 500gig drives lying around which are soon to be used ie unused so maybe i should send them back before they crap out.

I found this. The HDDs are now labled in Europe as Death Stars.

There is nothing even in their news feed about a solution, or even mention.

Sorry that I got excited, I just hate the idea of lawsuits...
So, I do understand why they are forced to sue seagate...

Ja, if they stood by their customers and supported their drives this would be much less of an issue. But they have denied the reports and squashed/censored anyone for talking about it. That is why everyone is suddenly the m**r in with them.

It's about time this started, I was actually wondering a while ago if it wasn't already in progress.

Well excuse people for not being satisfied with faulty products and mind being ripped off and loosing 100 of gigs of data (sometimes irreplaceable work or projects). Good grief god forbid people mind that happening to them after paying for something. Really.

Are you serious? 30-40% failure rate? every single .11 drive should be recalled.

People's data and lives are at stake here and buying a hdd that has a 40% failure rate is an epic fail and i won't buy seagate again!!! they should recall all these drives or atleast make sure people know about this problem.

WD FTW

Okay now I'm a tad worried. I have no PC at the moment and my Seagate 500GB external HDD has already been replaced once and I am terrified of losing all my irreplaceable data. What to do, What to do, What to do.... Hmmm...
