Hi V3G
When can we expect the following:
250MB@ R99 = 40c/MB?
125MB@ R50 = 40c/MB?

Interesting... does that mean Vodacom made a mistake with their hsdpa data is more expensive line...Mutually inclusive, i.e. the PPDBs are for use with GPRS and EDGE and vanilla-3G and HSDPA - all at the same price regardless of bearer network and speed, same goes for CDBs as of 2007-04-01...
Hi V3G,
Any idea when the PPDB issue will be resolved ? Been trying to purchase a data bundle all day via V4Me and 111 ......... no luck as yet.
Have already sucked dry my VC contract, VM and MTN sim's ......... running on fumes left on my collection of Prepaid sim's.

Just wondering if the line will now be hsdpa is less expensive so we should get more people using it.Is it a mistake to rectify a mistake [as perceived by consumers]?
Why is is that Vodacom GPRS is slow in Cape Town city centre? It is annoying!!! I use my laptop to connect to the internet and my phone(motorola v360v) as a modem and it is so slow. I tested Virgin Mobile and it is faster than vodacom. WHAT IS WRONG????

Generally when something like this happens with Cell C and VM, and I hear it happens a lot, they compensate you (read free airtime).OK, so day 2 of PPDB problems. They claim to be working on it, but have no sympathy for the plight of their clients .... i.e. no compensation as it is deemed a general network error. I would have thought that "generally" it is still their network.
The helpdesk solution was simple : pay R2 p/MB or don't connect at all.
Not sure who Candace Turner is but apparently she is working on it.
All this brought back memories of dealing with Vodacom Data and Billing departments ........ being a 500 pound gorilla means that you have a lot more fleas.
Should it make a difference to his speed? Are you using a Pre-Paid Data Bundle, or not?
PS: Welcome to MyBroadband.
He said v360v. Afaik that is a 3G phone.Throwing away the V360 would be a good start. Sticking with Virgin might be a better option if all you require is GPRS speeds.
