Cape Town - The presidency on Tuesday refused to accept 23 000 letters about crime from concerned South Africans.

Solidarity trade union deputy general secretary Dirk Hermann led a three-member delegation to Parliament to personally deliver the letters to President Jacob Zuma.

After another lengthy wait and further cellphone calls, Hermann and his delegation were instructed by the police to take everything back to the visitor's centre, because the bundles of letters had not been scanned by security.

Back at the visitor's centre, and after more cellphone calls, Hermann announced that the presidency was now refusing to accept the letters.

I didnt expect more.. easier to deny the problem than to face it like a MAN.
 
Well the letters don't serve any practical purpose really. Could have accepted them though as a gesture of goodwill.

As cynical as that sounds Gary, I think I agree with you! They just flat out deny the situation and it all gets swept under teh rug.

Due to my dad being recently quite ill, I was in the hospital with him for most of this past wknd, during the hours (and hours) that we were there, there were umpteen ppl that came in with stab wounds, 90% of them were from cellphone robberies and other such stuffs. Yet the guavamint stated a couple of weeks ago that the poverty situation in this country does not contribute to high crime levels! Do they really expect us to believe that? Of course it freakin contributes, what a load of horse****~ These okes need to catch a serious wake up, government is letting down the average joe in the street bigtime!!! Guavamint FAIL!
 
Another Epic Fail for the ANC... and poor idiot who still believes the ANC is looking out for him needs to see a Mental Psychologist.
 
Well there's nothing that can be done - white people write letter and emails - other races burn and destroy everything - nothing seems to get their attention.

This country is going through so many "Turn-a-round strategies" - on sabc news last night there was yet another crisis and turn a round strategy being discussed at a kfc meeting!

WE have to accept his children and all his whores but he can not take a few letters. I'm losing the little like I had for the man.

Yeah, nail on head mate, that is the problem with BEE, these okes never EARNED it with blood sweat and tears, it's been handed over to them! They do not yet fully understand the value of what they've been 'given'.
 
Maybe the letters should have been tied to a rock & propelled via a cannon launcher into the presidency!
