Following the untimely death of my Sensation I have inherited a SGS II and am now having problems connecting to 3G. I got the phone with some random firmware loaded, and decided that I would rather go for the stock Samsung experience for now. I downloaded and installed the stock 4.0.4 ROM, and inserted in my MTN SIM.
Everything was going fine, and I got the settings from MTN via sms. I installed those settings, but still no luck getting online, unless it is via wifi.
I then deleted the existing (imported) settings, and looked up the settings to manually add the APN. I completed the following info:
Name: MTN
APN: Internet
MCC: 655
MNC: 10
Auth: PAP
APN Type: Internet
Each time I try to save this (Menu button > Save) it goes back to the APN screen but does not actually display any APN's.
I am kinda lost and would really like to get back to being connected...
