Smith is not to blame. NZ was the better team on the day. What is this choke business? SA was simply out played. Their bowlers produced at the right time and we paid the price.

Smith cannot really be blamed for this though...we have a disgustingly good batting line up..and its shocking that we couldnt get it together and chase down what I thought was a reasonable total.
As a captain i dont think smith did anything wrong, but I would have dropped him anyways.
Any way, on to the RWC!!!!

Kallis looked so bored and listless one could have thought that he was sleep walking."South Africa lost a few wickets and we imploded completely playing stupid shots and Kallis seemed determined to jog up and down the pitch and was almost run out three or four times."
So we played stupid shots, tried to run ourselves out but NZ outplayed us? I dunno seems like we contributed big time to our demise as usual. We do it every time so nothing unusual about us imploding and losing from what should be winning positions.
Apperently he has no clue either.Nah he can't really be blamed. But I still don't have a clue why he is captain or opening batsman? :wtf:
“Your guess is as good as mine,” said poor “Biff” as Mark Nicholas, handling the televised post-match presentation ceremony, asked him for possible reasons for this stark failure.
When you are better team man for man but fail to stand up to the pressure when it really matters its a choke. You can try and sugar coat it but facts are facts. SA's record of never having won a knockout game in the wc speaks volumes for our cricket team(especially the batsmen's) mental abilities...
And part of it is now being 'blessed with talent' and consider this to be a dilemma, albeit usually sugar coated as 'a good one to have'. This can only create doubt in the players' mind and the expectation that he must perform on a superlative level, leading to his own downfall. You guys do know we also chocked under cronje and pollock?? Smith isn't the reason the chocker mentality is around the squad.
Bowlers did their batsmen can't handle pressure, no bmt in this batting lineup.

Being blessed with talent should be our normal condition, there should be 10 guys lining up for each position in the team, each one with equal talent.

I like the way Corrie says THE NATION must help with the team, what a joke. I remember once when Kallis messed up with something and when the camera was on him he mouthed the words F@#% OFF, well this part of the nation says he must F$%% OFF.
Do we really think they give a damn about THE NATION??
