Proteas: Only 5 white players allowed?

It is way too hard to determine the supporter base by colour, the black population is largely poor. Do you go by TV viewership or event attendance, both which has a pricey price tag?

There are more black rugby players in SA than there are white rugby players, there are more ‘black’ and ‘coloured’ rugby clubs in SA than there are ‘white’ rugby clubs. Though Union club rugby is mixed, the blacks and the coloureds do contribute to the larger supporter’s base, this also apply to the respective unions.

It is only that many people do not have access to the international games, other than listening in on the radio.
I think a lot of times the "black" and "coloured" rugby clubs might lack the necessary infrastructure and coaching expertise the "white" clubs have. So that should be addressed. So too poverty, no use you have 30 million Mzwandile Sticks playing rugby over the country. Nutrition is also important.

Agree, many clubs even share the same grounds and club houses, many being reliant on the lotto... They do however have their elite clubs playing in the Super A leagues (or 1st division pending on the union structure). The Super B league clubs are also strong.

Just call for the rest of the world to boycott playing against any South African sports team, be it soccer, rugby, cricket or any other sports

And cricket?

But that will just prove that the rest of the world is scared to play against blacks

i am black and i think that is so racist. i mean you cannot select players based on race , u need to select them based on performance. that's just how i feel.

Quite agree, rather just let the quota team filled with underqualified black players get absolutely hammered by white South Africans in foreign colours. Will do wonders for national unity and will completely shatter the illusions of racists in this country

Do you also have the same feeling towards people applying for a job?

Send the sport down the toilet. Flush it, fast. Better than this slow, creeping decline. We all know where it'll end up anyways, why drag it out?

Africa's fixation - the race to the bottom. Ably assisted by their friendly SJW's.

Funny how these guys go and watch soccer matches. Price not a problem then?

Your average PSL ticket is dirt cheap, like R40, and even then most games are not even half-way full. How much does a rugby ticket cost? If the game is in a small town sometimes you come across people giving away free tickets just so somebody will attend. Only the headline games like Orlando Pirates vs. Chiefs or cup finals manage to fill up stadiums.

Your average black soccer fan in SA is very poor.
