PS5

Me likey.... I have a digital, don't mind the lack of disc drive, well not yet but would be nice to know if/when I can buy one separately if I ever wanted.

Do you think the disc drive will be compatible with the current model?

Ah! I forgot there is a USB C port on the front. :sneaky:

I'm tempted, but I kinda want to know these newer batches of controllers actually last before I spring for another one or any special ed.
My original one already has drift shift but even if I didn't have drift shift I would have still got the special edition

Are the white-box PS5's the revised model? with better thermals, reduced energy consumption and an updated controller that "fixes" the drifting issue

I don't think the boxes differ, you need to check the model numbers.

Also pretty sure the new controllers use exactly the same analog sticks as the earlier ones, the main change I think was to the triggers where they're using a slightly more robust springs. There are always people complaining about drift on all types of different controllers, have 3 PS5 controllers and none of them have drift, but my new Xbox one does - it's really just luck of the draw (or sometimes people just being really rough on controllers).

Players can now link their PlayStation Network and Steam accounts

DOING SO ENABLES PLAYERS TO RECEIVE UNLOCKS IN PLAYSTATION STUDIOS GAMES INCLUDING SPIDER-MAN

The first game that allows players to do this is Marvel’s Spider-Man, which today received a patch which added the feature.

Evidence of planned connectivity between the PlayStation Network and the PC versions of Sony‘s games was discovered earlier this year, but it’s only become official with today’s update.
