PSA: Sickbeard is out, Sonarr is in.

So i will ask this again. Can you add your own Indexer ? What is listed currently. Like in SickRage there is TVRage and thetvdb.

As i want to add "thesportsdb.com"

Please let me know.

How do I get Sonarr not to put the year in the episode name?

I do not want to have to rename all my folders so that I don't end up with 2 folders for each series nor do I want to rescan my entire drive with kodi after renaming for the sake of conformity.

Edit

It wants to do:

Series Folder Example: Series Title (2010)
Single Episode Example: Series Title (2010) - 01x01 - Episode Title (1)

I do not want the stuff in Bold, how do I make it go away?

Wouldn't mind Sonarr, but doesn't allow me to rename series the way I want...I shall stick to SB.

Pretty sure you just need to enable advanced options then you can edit that.

Will check later and confirm.

What the hell are you talking about, of course you can rename it how you want.

If you're adding your series root folder it keeps your own directory names.
You can even change the path after it has been added, just click "edit series".

Also, I don'e even know how AstroTurf is getting years in his filenames. I just added the show "Lost" as a test and it didn't add any year to the filename/directory this side.

At least go to Sick Rage if Sonarr is not for you... Sickbeard blows man, the developers abandoned that software long ago.

I can't even get Sick Rage to work using these instructions..do they not have a straight forward method of installing...?

*And the year you see there is not included on your shows, only if multiple of the same show title exists. (And you can remove it, too)

But thats different:(

Thanks,

Current naming is: Top Gear - s20 e01 - New Zealand Yacht Race

That is a bit of an odd one.

Why the need for it? Surely if your folder structure matches you can just have new stuff in one of the other formats?

Does what have a straight forward method of installing? Sick Rage?
I don't use SickRage so I wouldn't know.

Sonarr is super easy to install - I didn't even read any tutorials or watch any videos, I just installed and selected the options I wanted. it was that easy.
Sickbeard on the other hand was a mission with all it's SAB-to-Sickbeard settings and download folders that need to be mirrored, not even mentioning the scripts and .CFG file editing...

Was referring to Sick Rage. Complicated

Sonarr is extremely easy yep. Just the renaming.

OCD.....been renaming like that for 10 years and can't seem to let it go...

Yea I think I read the first paragraph in the instructions posted here earlier then just went for it

Hasn't metadata really taken the place of neatly stored file names? Not even my albums are kept in folders anymore.

As long as plex picks it up I couldn't care less what the format of the file name is.
