Great advice here. Another nice server also in Holland is Sunnyset, even cheaper than Usenetbucket if I recall correctly.
Woke up and everything that should have downloaded did so it's all good. Had to do some minor cleanup - a few new folders were created by Sonarr where the series name differed from the existing folder name and some season folders were created - but I'll fix those as they pop up.

xsusenet.com have a free 1meg account
only around 10 days retention but that is plenty for basic series.
Only issue with it is they need to be renewed monthly (you get an email).
I have 2 of those set up (you can set one account up per email address) as well as usenetbucket.
Also, xsusenet says you don't get ssl on the free account but you can use the ssl settings and they work.

Just installed - seemed pretty straight forward. Whats with the import though - do I have to manually add each series?

There's an option to add series from disk at the top of the page.. then you just specifiy the folder where all of your series sits. It will then give you the list of all your series, and you just have to confirm if the automated system got it right.

I'm having a problem trying to add SABnzb as my download provider.. it gives me an error about the path being incompatible or something like that.. which is strange, coz i don't specify a path at any point in the sonarr setup.
Sonarr looks decent, will really know how it is when the series start coming out. Have to admit though, it's method of adding series in terrible. It breaks the directory's and adds in it's own stuff. SB is much better at doing this from what I can see. Overall though,it is much better.

Thought so - half an hour of clicking and its now importing everything. Will have to see if it auto downloads any series over night.

Had the same problem. Had to go into the config file to change the folder from using "/" as a opposed to using "\".
Edit: This is the SABnzb config file.

yep.. it seems to connect properly.. but has some issues with building the path for completed downloads. will try to take a screenshot when i get home.
