Questions on purchasing a long network cable for home use

My problem: I have a cottage on my property that I need to extend internet access to. The main building already has ADSL. Have tried wireless but don't want to use that. My plan is to connect a long ethernet cable between the ADSL router and an Apple Airport Extreme router in the cottage. The distance between the two is 60m.

Question 1: What type of cable do I need?
I will be using the connection primarily for Internet access. I may also access a NAS drive over the connection.

Will CAT5e cable be adequate?
As part of the cable will run outside, do I need a special type of cabling?
Is it okay to run this next to the main power cable, or will that cause interference?

Question 2: Where can I get such a cable in Joburg?

First, I do not want to make the cable myself. I'd prefer to either buy it off the shelf, or have a company make it for me. Does anyone know of either around Joburg? If it's made, obviously I need to deal with a company that will make just one.

Cable will not survive in sunlight for very long. Given it's a long run, next to the main power cables, you're in for a difficult time. I would suggest you lay an 20mm or 25mm conduit to put the ethernet cable in.

Best would be the suggestion above, I have plenty normal cables running outside for a few years now and still no problems, but it's in the shade so sun not a problem for me
Or just get a outdoor shielded cable like this:

A point as well is make sure if you do put it the conduit that you lay two cables for redundancy would be pretty crapping to have the cable fail and you need to do the exercise all over again.

Lay 2 shielded cables,Cat5e/6/6e,1 for redundancy,other than that,nothing complex

Have you considered using a pair of powerline ethernet adapters? If these work you could save yourself a lot of time and effort.

Question 1:

You can get outdoor network cabling which will be protected from sun light. I would advise getting that because normal network cable will need to be replaced after prolonged sun exposure. Micro Distribution (in midrand) have THIS. Its also shielded so will be a bit better for running next to the power line (but still not ideal).

Have a standard CAT5 cable....100m in length, running from the main house to the cottage. Half of it under ground (no piping), other half is either in the roof or running along the side of the houses. Have had no issues to date and I have had this running for about 6 years now.

Why dont you want to use wireless?
