I've said it before and I'll say it again, violence just leads to more violence...

Beat your kids and they'll eventually beat their wives or the guy that just drove into them...

I'm sorry but I also do not agree with this statement. Sure, if you nearly hospitalise the child regularly they may actually turn out to become abusers or suffer other psychological disorders, but not if they are disciplined in a proper and orderly manner in my opinion.

True RavenServers, its all about a balance, don't hit your kid 'cos you're angry. Give them a hidding if they deserve it and then explain why they got it. Can't go wrong. .

Its not violence its simple discipline, if a parent cannot discipline his own children, who can? The government? Pffft.... LOL, look at our prisons they're doing a great job at that...

Best way to house train a dog is to take him outside everytime he eats, when he does decide to pee in the house (they find their own little special place) you have to swing a klap to them, not hard at all, they should be more surprised than anything, but it works.

The same goes for a kid who it too young to grasp the concept of "do not do that".

When the dog gets older, a simple no suffices, so with a kid.

No problem, the R300 bucks a smack can come out of their trust fund ... no car / university for them (although they will at least be well mannered).

my roof....my rules...simple as that.
my kid will get a smack if he needs it.

Would take them further in life also.

Why are people allowed to have children if they are unable to look after them?

Kids today get away with murder. Beat the hell out of them I say !

parents are to blame for this. I look at some of the 11 - 15 year olds at Northgate shopping mall after 8:00, on their own, no adult supervision....I sommer want to klap them myself.

everyone worrying about the cost of a klap can relax now...

just heard about a new credit card on 5fm... can't remember which bank it is, but the card is called a klap&swipe

to apply for your card, call 0800klap&swipe

;)

as soon as corporal punishment was phased out of schools, look how unruly most students have become :\

I do however think a smack should be rserved for only very bad behaviour. Such as hurting someone else, stealing something etc.

If a parent is found to have spanked their child for something silly, such as their child accidently breaking something then they should be fined.
