Rain and storm for Cpt

No man!!! I came here excited to see predictions of rain, not heat!!!!
 
Now its going. Been looking like rain for days every evening. We've got some good flow now (close to the mountain in Newlands)
 
A moderate intensity cutoff low with very strong South Easterly winds has developed over the Western Cape. Sprinkles of rain are likely for Cape Town itself, but much heavier falls are predicted further inland. Flash flooding is possible over parts of the normally dry Karoo:

Quite a change from the heatwave that ended two days ago:
 
Plenty of wind here in Constantia but not a drop of rain... but the forecast anyway said it would miss CT and fall further towards the mountains.

It has rained consistently at Jonkershoek since 1600 on the 17th till now. JAN monthly average for last 6 years has been ~90mm, currently on 25mm.

yr.no had some 'decent'rain for Gardens, nothing yet, wind has been blowing non stop since THU.
