been waiting for weeks for it to rain proper in DBN, dont think its ever going to rain again the way things are looking.
probably followed by a flood.
Pretty significant storm heading for the Western Cape. Arrival around late Friday early Saturday. High winds an lots of rain.
The rain is only coming late Saturday, early Sunday morning.
So when is it expected to rain again?

If any place , the Ceres area is normally best for snow although accessing it is practically impossible.

Depends on how close you want to get to the snow
You could simply look towards the mountains, or travel to Ceres to get up close and dirty or even go up Table Mountain.
Tulbaghdon't have a 4x4 so I guess ceres is out of the question.
coworkers mentioned Tulbugh (sp?).
Not looking forward to doing a hikeTulbaghbut it is a short drive from the Cederberg which is where the snow usually is and where you need a 4x4 to get deep into the Kagga Kamma Nature Reserve, sometimes the snow reaches normal street level there though.
Alternatively Jonkershoek in Stellenbosch also gets snow from time to time, no 4x4 required, but you'd need to hike fairly high up.
