Speaking of snow and cold, temps are showing around 8-9C here in suburbia and I don't know if it's just me but it sure feels rather frigid!

My heater is now on from early eve till morning.... fortunately price of electricity is included in rental :)

My car's thermometer showed 11.5C on the way to work this morning.

Each day it's getting a degree or two colder.

Also used my heater for the first time this weekend.

Was bucketing down a few minutes ago, but stopped all of a sudden. Probably going to be like this for the next 36 hours.

Melkbos atm

The CoCT have been busy sweeping streets and unblocking drains this week (at least where I live). However when there are strong winds in autumn, the leaves soon clog them up again.

P.S. Last week our main entrance gate got stuck, due to excessive wet leaves on the track rail...

Gauge here almost overflowing in Kenilworth, about 50mm up to 10am. Bit of a gap in the clouds and wind now. Large waterfall on Table Mt!

Edit: It was dry between 10am and 11am, so I decided to take the dog for a walk. Big mistake...

The SAWS reports significant widespread rainfall in places (other than the Cape Metropole) during the 24 hours to 8am on Fri 21st (some rain fell before 8am on Thurs 20th). Of note were Nieuwoudtville (NC) and Springbok (NC) both with 24mm. Highest were Ceres 91mm, Villiersdorp 58mm, Kirstenbosch 54mm, etc. Very little rain made it to the drought stricken Eastern Cape.
