Rain and storm for Cpt

I recently heard that if the cape had had the rain we got over a period of 3 days last week, that the Theewaterskloof dam would have been filled 4 times over! It sort of puts things in perspective just how much rain does actually occur when conditions are good.

and such a pity there is no pipe to channel it all down to the WC.

We've received enough rain here for me to almost get stuck in the caddy bus drive over some grass. Looks like there will be more.

Edit: just realized, all ( or most ) the camping spots around the WC are almost fully booked for this weekend, in a a drought, and it's raining. Eish.

No wonder it is raining! All the campers decided to go to CT instead of their normal haunts, because it does not rain in the cape! :twisted:
 
I left the Waterfront at 7 last night, rained all the way to the airport, sat at the airport Spur for almost two hours, rain never stopped..

This morning it rained most of the way To Springbok and the first time I saw blue sky for the day was twenty kilometres before Port Nolloth around 16hoo hours this afternoon...

Father in law down in Gordons Bay reported 6mm rain last night....

The weekend at the end of April is also booked out mostly, I'm looking to make a booking as well. If I get one you can expect flooding that weekend.

Another thing about the rain is it makes my car far too slow. Can't even catch a 2.0TDI Passat up the hill from the AF Louw traffic lights. Just plenty of ESP for me... :D

That was me. I saw the Peugeot behind (wasn't sure if it was you as there is another car that looks exactly like yours in town) me but I was late for a meeting, will say hi to you next time. The passat was strangely solid on the wet road, in the dry it sometimes tries to understeer. And I don't normally drive that fast.

You can hoot next to you see the passat or the little blue up turning in there where you saw me going in.

I thought it was you, however my cheap Roadstones tyres, the wife, the kid and ultimately ESP reigned me in heavily. Then again I think even with no passengers and proper rubber in conditions like those the Passat would come out tops. Dry conditions might be a different case ;) Will hoot next time.

Or that *** Peugeot is just slow.
