Did you change something on the network? My speed has improved drastically since last night and remained so (touch wood). Same tower/cell, same signal. If it stays this way, this is actually the product i was expecting all along.

Has anyone else experienced a sudden improvement? I am connected to a B38 tower.Screenshot_20201113_093351_org.speedspot.speedanalytics.jpg

Probaby congestion easing off at that tower. Loads of people cancelling etc.
I'm not sure, because I've been using this tower for over a month, after having the same crap on 3 other B3 towers. It's a very sudden improvement. They would have had to shed a lot of subscribers there i think.

Hi, hopefully you are experiencing the benefit of some upgrades, new sites and optimization work that we are doing across the country.
@rain_networks here's hoping. I am based in Umbilo and am connecting to the Fynnland tower on the Bluff, 5.5km away!

I'd be interested to hear if anyone else has had a sudden improvement since last night.

No such luck here in Queensburgh. I cannot get a download speed more than 1mbps on a good day.....

Cant wait for the fibre to go live at the end of the month here.

Hi @rain_networks. Has there been an upgrade in the Fochville area as well? My connection has been restored but still low speed. It’s stable thus far.

If i can get Rain and have steady 30mbit uncapped , no drops. I'll be happy. Need it for IPTV . Unfortunately IPTV is steady 720p or 1080p channels. They don't lower resolution like Netflix.. if the streaming speed can't keep up. They go and pause on you.. or glitch and jump to new live location. Its very bad if the stream is not solid.

had this happen to me as well when I spent a sat troubleshooting with them,
speeds sure did improve, for a short time.

did everything they asked,
resetting my SIM, asking me to change position of my B618,
asking me to turn off cloudflare warp, things like that.

unfortunately it didn't last very long, and its all due to the congestion.
not complaining, you get what you pay for,
and for R250 best deal out there for those of us without any internet most of the time.

I gave up on doing things long ago. Found the least worst tower and sat on that, limping along at 2mbps. So this was definitely not something I did, it just improved by itself. Fingers crossed its not temporary.

I still get wonderful speeds.... my connection is useless as usual. No change here still the same.

Mine improved slightly, from 500kbs to just under 1mb. Must be all those new fibre sign-ups on the other side of our suburb freeing up some bandwidth. Fibre going live before the end of the year on this side, wonder what Rain speeds will be like once everyone will be dropping them for the cheaper fibre service.

hmm, seems rain did actually do something going off what I'm seeing on Twitter recently, a bunch of people thanking them and hoping they keep the speeds up (but not an overwhelming number of people), that's nice if this is going to hold and continue for people in congested areas.

I am getting a blazingly fast 0.1Mbps.
Huge improvement over the 0.0Mbps I was getting for most of the month so far.
The upload speed sometimes goes as high as 18Mbps but have not seen anything above 0.2Mbps this month on the download side.
Maybe I will get a whole 1Mbps when they eventually upgrade our towers after months of complaining!

And I’m back with no signal again. I sometimes get this PLMN “65074”, who’s network is that? @rain_mobile can someone from the network department please contact me via email to sort the issue out? Thanks.
