@rain - did you change/fix something?

Is that what they call cancellations now?

What avergage DL speed are you getting now?
Only did one test on Google Speed Test, where it would normally be about 1Mbps it reached 2.5 to almost 3 this after we had issues of 0.5 Mbps on average. I think it's because 5G is not sharing 4G anymore...

I streaming right now and getting 2.1 Mbps and internet feels a lot more snappy, but varies during the day still

I’m getting 0.5 all the time ...

I don’t no what it’s like to watch a YouTube video on 240 but instead on 144

I'm getting phenomenal speeds today.. never saw this kinda speed for a long long while.

I agree with you.
The moment there is a something more than a 0 .5Mbps I get excited that I can actually use my internet.
What you are getting is actually a dream for me.
I used to get 15-20Mbps, same tower, same device, same location.

True.

All rain does is move subscribers around from tower to tower giving them the temporary illusion that they are working on their congestion problems.

I've been with rain for 2 years now since there is no fibre where I live.

In those 2 years they've gone from being the self-professed champions of the average joe to being the idjit in the corner with the dunce cap on.

And I also found that it is more effective to moan and bitch on forums than to try and get a response from their customer service - an oxymoron if ever there was one.

@rain_mobile It's day 9 and the tower is still down.
It took them 6 months since the lockdown began to fix my tower going offline every night. for almost the whole night.
By fix, I mean now it goes off at 1pm instead and that has been ongoing for the last month or so.
Be careful what you wish for with these guys

My tower issue also hasn’t been resolved. I was advised by an agent to cancel. Apparently the site I was connected to was a vodacom site. Strange because my vodacom sim works fine. Now I’m reduced to scouting for another ISP. I am wondering weather there is a website that provides coverage fir rural areas? Afrihost has a few good deals. But not sure what I should do?
