My quey is not about speeds. I'm waiting for an update on when the tower i use will be fixed. It has been down since last Monday.
So aren’t you on a other tower ?
What makes this tower you want so unique?
It was the only B38 tower I could conenct to with reasonable signal and speed (3-5mbps). All the other towers around me are B3 and have terrible speeds (0-2mbps).
None of this matters anymore because I HAVE CANCELLED

Nobody 
Had applied for Telkom 1TB 999 deal, they said not in my area. Supersonic says no coverage.
Telkom's R849 uncapped deal has a sucky FUP.
Impossible to find decent LTE that either doesn't suck or is not super pricey for what it is.
I'm stuck right now.

I had the same problem with Telkom , pre paid sim did work by me . So I just give them fake address , when they send you the delivery detail , there is n space to change address . Sim delivered and RICANobody

Cancelled. Can't handle the erratic speeds anymore. Today its 1mb and tomorrow its back to 0.5 again. And even when I was getting between 1 and 2mb I couldnt even watch Netflix while my nephew is watching Youtube on his phone.
Fibre installation is scheduled for Friday. Thanks for the service these past 3 years Rain but I think I deserve better for R479 a month. Ciao!

Bru where do you stay? I live in Bluedowns and they just finished up here. They're moving in the direction of Wesbank now, I saw them digging along the Stellenbosch arterial. I'm guessing because of the good uptake of their fibre services here they decided to do Delft, Wesbank, Gaza Strip.. all those places. I mean, these are the poorest of the poor areas but they're getting fibre. Vuma struck gold because people are excited for the fibre, many have pre-ordered already.
Hou vas bru, im sure wherever you are Vuma Reach will get to you. If not then atleast there's less congestion on the Rain towers so more bandwidth for you! Haha in not even sure if that's how it works

Kiemo bru I'm telling you, there's been incremental improvements in my Rain speeds. People are jumping onto fibre, its cheaper and performs better than what we get from Rain. I think those who stay on Rain will see an improvement over time, they will lose massive market share over here but those of you who have no other choice than Rain will reap the benefits of this.
Now the other night I was sitting on the k@kpot and i was doing a speedtest, as one does, and I got a 10mb result. Out of nowhere.I wasnt gesuip I promise you. So I'm sure you guys' speed will pick up soon. Keep us posted bru, I'm very interested to see how much the network can improve now that there's less congestion on their towers.

I’ll definitely keep you posted bro no worries ... I’m always on here to share and look what I can improve on my side with my rain ...
But hopefully this weekend I’ll start doing some changes to where I place my router and try getting an Xpol as well ...
I’ll point it to the Area that has fibre and is live ...
If I see 10 megabytes I’ll be shocked lol
