@rain - did you change/fix something?

Are you guys can see I’m connected to a tower close by ... that’s 0.6 away ... sometimes during the day I’m connected to the tower that’s 1.4 away I don’t understand how it changes on its own ...

So when @KopiteZA mentioned about the 5g tower and I should double check again ... it’s shows on the map near to the towers that’s 2.2 or 2.1 away ...

The routers are designed to do that. They connect to the tower/cell with the best signal. That's also what phones do, eg, when you move around or are travelling. Probably your router sometimes gets a better signal from another tower/cell. Locking to a cell is not default behaviour, and not all routers can do it. Your LTE router cannot connect to 5G infrastructure.

Yes we are aware that 4g don’t connect to 5g ...

But the router connecting to a different tower that sucks ...

Yep. Most definitely some bandwidth capacity opening up since fibre went live 2 weeks ago. Download speeds have increased to an average of 3.5mb tonight, and this is with torrents running in the background and I'm streaming Netflix at the same time.
If it wasn't for the 360p cap on streams I dont think I would've canceled Rain since their service has actually become usable these past few days. Scrap guys are already ripping the fibre boxes out the ground, so I really dont think fibre is going to be a long term solution for me. ‍♂️

@rain_mobile .......?
Smoke and mirrors.
They wont actually come back to you, and I am sure you already know this too well.
if they do revert, be prepared to reboot and reposition your device until you are blue in the face.
1 day maybe 6 months from now they will revive the tower but you will have new problems to contend with.

Thanks @rain_mobile, the tower is up and I am connected.

4mbps down, 2mbps up, average. I'll monitor it over the coming week.
