Rain LTE not Working?

Seems the only way to get something resembling decent internet AND service in this country is getting business internet of some sort. Unfortunately business internet is very expensive.

None of the ISP's that sold the rain connections sell them anymore, all sell Cellc now. I wonder what happened?

Had to buy R12 topup and swap my Vodacom sim cardjust to call an Uber as RAIN still dead here in Constantia....

I wonder if RAIN will kindly reimburse me for wastage + inconvenience?!

I wonder if MyBroadband will run a story regarding this downtime, similar to the Datacenter camera / Network route article.

Rain LTE network downtime

Rain told MyBroadband that it is having connectivity issues in the Western Cape and Eastern Cape.

“About 2% of users are affected, and we are working hard to resolve the fault – which we hope to do soon,” said Rain.

MBB usually report on outages like this on other networks.
Just like RAIN, they remain silent. Why the deafening silence?

If there is ever an issue and you do not see coverage on MyBroadband, please tag the @Newsfeed account or email us on [email protected]. We really value forum tips and leads that can turn into news articles.

I think it is more like 80% of users in the Eastern and Western cape that is affected. Everyone I know with rain lte in Port Elizabeth is offline(8 out of 8).

The only SIM I have on my account is also not working. :|

Strand, WC.

1. Changed APN to rain (was blank and working before)
2. Disconnect then reconnect - still not working
3. Rebooted device - success, I'm on (for now).

I presume you are talking about your phone? Not LTE router?
