Rain Mobile Feedback Thread

Think it is only on your profile if you indicated you live in JHB or Cape Town when ordering the card. This is where they are supposedly rolling out 5G in the next few weeks so maybe they would want testers.
I'm in KZN (South Coast) and also have the beta option. Wouldn't mind being a tester for 5G

rain was dead again from 11pm rebooted the router and changed bands nothing 5 am still nothing same issue ,

logged in to the router from work via the ADSL 2mb max we can get and the rain lte is back up.

I'm also in KZN and see it when logging in on my mobile, not on the website when logging in on a pc. It doesn't go anywhere though.
 
I see there is a disconnect besides the options available when browsing Rains website on a pc versus mobile browser. Firstly my data usage on my account differs and although it shows spend limit is 0GB on the website on my pc it show 1GB and R50 spend limit on the mobile version. Weird.:confused:
 
Has anyone been able to get the hidden 5G coverage map to work? It's embedded in the source of the beta section.

On PC Chrome just hit F12 and toggle the display.

Stared at the source for an hour 1am this morning and didn't get it to work :D . I think we just have to wait until things go live :unsure:[that means, keep trying] :thumbsup:.
 
I haven’t had much luck recently with mobile operators, first cell c now rain. I cannot pay by cc for whatever reason . Tried two cc from two people. Not even getting to the bank cause there is no SmS. Contact the rain chat line. They say it will take 24 to 48 working hours cause it needs to be escalated . I’m like that 3 to 6 working days for a response. The operator comes back with < that’s just the time frame >. Anyone from Rain here that can maybe do something in hours rather than days ?

Is anyone else having trouble viewing their Rain mobile usage since the upgrade of the website yesterday?
Mine is completely blank.
 
Typical fix one thing break another type of upgrade with little testing.
I am also surprised these upgrades are not scheduled for after hours.
It seems all efforts are going to 5G and 4G customers can just hang.
 
Just got a message from @rain_mobile via dm regarding my usage not showing.

Can anyone advise if they are legit as I do not see a company rep badge and do not want to give out info to some random person.

EDIT: They are legit and @rpm has sorted it out.

Rather go through the official channels if you want to chat to them until we establish the authenticity of this account via a mod.
The usage not showing does not look like an isolated issue so interesting that they have contacted only you.

Yes, saw that. Nice to have a rep on board finally.
Hopefully by them seeing the pattern of issues, it can assist us all in a big way in improving the service overall.
 
So I got my Sim yesterday, RICA took less than 30 minutes (props to the team who sorted that out!) But wow, I can't believe how poor the signal is... I barely get anything above 2 bar (Samsung A70)

Driving through Fourways today I got my strongest signal, and fastest speedtest (near Broadacres) but 90% of Bryanston seems to be a dead zone :rolleyes:
 
After many hours of frustrations,I have come here to finally come to ask wtf.rain has slow speeds all day and it's 12 50 am and still it's damn slow going at snail pace.rain please fix this.area Colorado Mitchell's plain.
