--Have you received your SIM on the promised delivery date?

No, was due to be delivered today

(Location: Cape Town, Order number: between 590 and 600)

--What did their support channel tell you?

Had no word from either Rain or courier company. Chatted to Rain helpdesk, delivery has been rescheduled for 13/06/2018 & delivery fee will be refunded.

Not a great start Rain...

No, was supposed to be delivered 08/06/18 at 10-11am
Rescheduled for 09/06/2018 at 8-10am. No delivery again

Sorry there was technical issues we will escalate the problem for you and we will contact you.
Received an SMS to reschedule delivery. Did it and that delivery did not happen as well. Waiting for contact from Rain now.

Was scheduled for 8th of June between 4 and 5 pm. Did not receive it.

Received an SMS saying it was still scheduled for delivery despite the problems, but no indication of when this delivery would take place was given. Not anything since then. Really not going to bother contacting Rain support as it is probably quite pointless, considering all the "technical issues" being experienced.

Have noted I have indeed been charged R120 for the non-delivery.

Not in any particularly hurry for the sim card, but I'm wondering if i will ever receive it. Much more interested in receiving a refund now. Communication with your customers is an actual thing to do Rain. You have email, you have SMS - but nada ? I have to agree this is not a good start and indicates the likelihood of experiencing other problems is probably quite high.

No.. Suppose to have been 8th of June between 8am and 9am

--What did their support channel tell you?
Received an SMS saying it is "slightly delayed" but will still be delivered today.
With the online chat yesterday at 2pm, i was told to hang in there. That if i received an sms it will still be delivered that day (the 8th)
9th. Nothing sofar.. I called helpdesk. Complained delivery. they said they will do delivery 12-2pm today. <it's 13:30 now.. nothing sofar>

Reading the posts above I am not holding any hope I will see these guys anytime today although delivery was scheduled between 4 and 6. I sense that they will fail again to deliver. I am not so much concerned about waiving the delivery fee which they said they have already done but the inconvenience of the whole process.

Also Call center seems chockfull of very young people. Teens and very young adults. So communicating with them will be interesting.
Countdown to 6pm begins... sigh

rather let it go.. spend your time on something usefull. they won't pitch. Rain / Sendr is useless.

Rather go watch a movie or rugby or food or anything..

Rain/Sendr make empty promises, no commitment... and if they say 12-2 or 4-6 it's all bullcrap. They thumbsuck it or just say it to make you think.. hey maybe this time it will happen. It's a big steamy pile of bull doo.

It's almost as if they take your call, ask you all your details every time you call them. Then take that piece of paper and chuck it into a bin afterwards. Cause i phoned them yesterday and online chat. Gave them the new address for delivery. Then i call back 2hours later. Someone else answers.. asks it all again.. and then thumbsuck something else. and still on old address but now the date for delivery is mid next week.

Then i explain again.. said my delivery is for today... not next week. that address is not the one i'm at (as that one was my work address.. i'm not at work now. my home address is for today between 12 and 2pm) etc.etc

Yeah. each time you call in. it's like pressing the restart button and starting from scratch. When you put down the phone. It's again reset. Cause nothing is happening once you put down the phone. No one does nothing. {it is very sad}

Damn! All this before even getting a sim!

Don't think this is Rain, more their useless contractor. Hope someone at Rain take this thread to Sendr and refuse to pay full price for deliveries, even better use someone else.

Sidenote: was scheduled for 8-9am this morning, only got a SMS now saying it will be here within next 2 hours.... 18h000-20h00 yeah right....

If you get a sms saying the driver will be there in the next 2 hours it means the delivery has been allocated to a driver on sendr app. Then you will get it.

Edit 1: Sadly the main reason I got it for, doesn't work (Second sim in Xiaomi Mi 5)

Edit 2: Ok found the problem had to setup APN, go figure.

APN: internet

Was going to say, before you edited, that the Xiaomi's support all our bands here and you should be good to go.

Don't know if any difference, but I recall official launch info saying APN is rain, but like MTN (mymtn), internet should also work.
