Since migrating to Win 7 i haven't had any luck with download managers. The Rapidshare manager certainly works but it also sucks. Getright which i used in XP with Explorer 8 (upgraded from 7) doesn't work and nor does Flashget in either IE8 or Mozilla 3.5.5. No luck with Orbit either. Any suggestions? Rapidshare without a multisegment capable download manager is no fun.

Free Download Manager works too, use it in conjunction with Flashgotall in Firefox and you'll be downloading in no time. What's really useful with FDM is you can query the file size so you know if you're downloading the pukkah file or just an html file.

Orbit downloads about 30KB, probably a web page and gives up. Tried setting RS to direct downloads, same result.

Thanks for the suggestion Fudzy, Flashgot seems to work fine.

I ended up using IDM, got tired of Orbit having issues with IS's manipulation of the http redirect protocol.
