Raspberry Pi 2 Model B surprise launch, local pricing

R585 incl delivery.

tempting, install openelec and run as xbmc.
 
Anyone know what remote I can use with these PI's, I think my samsung TV remote worked.

Also will usb ports power an ext 2.5 hdd ?

Any remote will work if you put a universal IR receiver on the RPi and then program it accordingly
 
Just take a careful look at the permissions Yatse needs, when you install it, then decide whether to use it or not.

I don't see anything strange:
Contents of sd card - to stream video from sd card to mediapc
Full network access - obviously, because that is how it connects to the server
Google play billing service - purchase full version
Google license check - obvious
view network connections - obvious
view wifi connections - obvious

allow wifi multicast reception
control vibration
prevent phone from sleeping

set wallpaper.

What is sinister to you?

Received mine just now, not set up yet. Have put it into my clear colour RPi B+ case, was a super tight fit.
Actually still waiting on my micro sd card. Should have one soon.
