Can access iburst.co.za again.

But can anyone actually log in there? I've been able to access the site since yesterday, but the login on "Account summary" doesn't work. Which suggests that they still don't have access to important parts of their own system. Fortunately, as one of those who got onto iBurst when M-Web was reselling it and ADSL was unavailable where I am, I'm not reliant on iBurst / WBS for email. Those who are, especially for business, must be tearing their hair out over this.

So, WBS might have won an urgent interdict, but that's not a permanent resolution, or indeed an indication that ICASA is in the wrong, by any means. An interdict is just a legal instrument prohibiting the party interdicted from taking certain actions; and interdicts can be challenged, and can be overturned. An urgent interdict is often granted by a court to delay action potentially damaging to one of the parties to a matter, until the court can hear fuller argument at greater length, and reach a considered judgment. Unless there is some other activity as yet unreported (which is of course possible), the obtaining of an urgent interdict in and of itself most certainly does not mean that "The dispute between ICASA and the parent company of iBurst, WBS has been resolved". An urgent interdict does not indicate that the underlying issue has gone away, or that further legal proceedings could not result in renewed action by ICASA, so unless or until there are further proceedings, or emerges further detailed information about what exactly "has been resolved", how, and with what degree of permanency, there remains no certainty - and no cause for celebration - for iBurst's long-suffering customers.

The iBurst account control panel is still not working. Need to urgently login on behalf of a prepaid client to buy a bandwidth booster, but no luck. Their website is working, but it seems as if only only the shell is working, all customer management functionality seems to be dead in the water.

Anyone else getting dc'd? seems to happen every two to three hours, not counting the period of no connection earlier

Happens to me every couple of hours, that I've noticed - I'm not at the PC constantly, so I will certainly have missed other instances when automatic reconnection has kicked in.

Cant access some international site, e.g. Liveleak, Piratebay

That could conceivably be a consequence of the rerouting iBurst have done to avoid the lost (and allegedly illegal) connections. In some European countries, in particular the UK, ISPs either voluntarily or by court order block particular sites, and Piratebay and other alleged large scale providers of copyright infringing content or links are frequent targets of such action, which for the UK, for instance, was the subject of legal action reported last April and again in February of this year.

Nice, seems like they giving away some data this month. I got 7.5GB extra :)
