*READ FIRST* iBurst Network Status & Issues (DNS, Throughput and Latency)

It's been really slow all evening. I lost it again since my last post and now it's working very sporadically. Just drops the international connectivity totally at times

I can't seem to access any international sites since the early hours of this morning.

Code:
$ nslookup mybroadband.co.za 196.46.70.10
Server:		196.46.70.10
Address:	196.46.70.10#53

Non-authoritative answer:
Name:	mybroadband.co.za
Address: 197.242.89.170

Code:
$ nslookup www.gmail.com 196.46.70.10
;; connection timed out; no servers could be reached

Hi ginggs

Looking at your DNS you should be in the western cape
We are currently expereincing connection issues in the part of the country
Our engineers are working tirelessly to resolve the issue

This just run now in Fontainebleau, more or less at Republic/Rabie having just stuck an omni up on the roof; is this as good as I can hope to get, *specially* in terms of the latency/ping? (there is extensive VoIP use at this locale)

Dear iburst... WTF!?

If by some strange chance the iburst rep still comes by here... Can you please get your dam technical team to fix their *****.

Using a 2mbps modem with 100% signal, 0 frame error, 8gb data remaining and getting speeds of 0.01mbps!!!!!!!! This has been going on for two dam weeks now and no matter how many calls I log with your rubbish help desk nothing is done about it!

Cannot connect, remote computer did not respond. Last night it was just slow as hell.... no, let me rephrase, DEAD!

The state should just nationalist iburst, at least then horrible service will be expected... Never in my life have I seen a private company with such horrid customer relations and such a bad attitude towards delivering the service that their customers pay for.

Now I understand why there's been no posts in the iburst section of late - it's too slow to do anything - a wonderful 15KB/s tonight...

Last night I was averaging 30kbs on a two meg modem, their advice was to go get an antenna etc... But of course it would be extra expense after I used to get close to two megs without a hiccup for years.
