*READ FIRST* iBurst Network Status & Issues (DNS, Throughput and Latency)

Still getting lots of timeouts on international browsing. This is just ridiculous. I can't get my work finished tonight.
 
I-Burst r sh*t and useless. They are thieves who don't care about their clients!
 
Day 5.
Some sites still take forever to load. Timeouts are prevalent. Still no response from iBurst.
 
At least you guys can access anything. Since Friday it tells me bandwidth is exceeded, when I've used 1GB total so far this month and have a 5GB account.

When I log into my account it shows all my usage stats as normal, except available bandwidth shows as 0, and I am unable to do anything. The account was purchased through Tradepage, so iBurst says it's their problem, and Tradepage says it's an iBurst issue, so WTF to do?!

No, mine is really horrible, has been for days, and nothing has changed my end. What is the tracert command? I know the ping one, but haven't worked out the tracert command.
 
The tracert command is 'tracert.exe' followed by the site or address you want to trace the route to...

Like in ping, run command line thingy:

And hops will start showing up.
 
I see that on the iBurst website that they finally acknowledge that there is a problem in Durban for iBurst users. So hopefully that will get sorted out soon. Have checked and i have coverage in my area for CellC so i am probably going to go get it some time this week. Luckily i have a month to month contract with iBurst.

I think that they have people available on the phone 24 hours but not 24 hours technical support, because it has taken them 4 days to see there is a problem while many people were phoning and reporting the issue.

Something seems a bit off
 
I am in Durban and am still having an iBurst problem. Does anyone know when this is going to be resolved. The strange thing is that I have an iBurst Desktop Modem and an iBurst USB Modem. The USB Modem works fine, but can't get to most sites on the iBurst Desktop Modem. Anyone else having the same issue? I reset my desktop modem and the router it is attached to. It picks up the correct DNS settings but has problems going to most sites.

Agreed - I'm in Randburg and access to overseas sites is so erratic the service is just about useless. If iBurst were to be more forthcoming as to the exact nature of the problem and announce an ETA for a solution I'd feel a bit better about the situation, but I strongly suspect they don't have a clue.

Just cause it ends in co.za doesn't mean its local ;) That one is definitely hosted overseas.
 
Now I can't access Google, wikipedia or news24 and MyBB is sporadic.

I think r00igev@@r (Last Activity: 02-12-2010) and iBurst (Gcebile) abandoned ship. I mean, I also wouldn't want to work for a company and get paid when I know nothing... wait - that sounds awesome!
