*READ FIRST* iBurst Network Status & Issues (DNS, Throughput and Latency)

Shame, I honestly feel sorry for them. Peeps, I know we're all frustrated, but pse try and remember they're only the iBuggerup representatives here...It's unlikely anyone who CAN do anything will listen to ANYTHING they have to say. This is a mess of note, but let's try not to be too harsh on them...The real culprits are the ones too scared to show their faces here to explain why we're paying for such a worthless service.

iburst is a disgrace of an organisation. You can only imagine how they run the environment there. If this happened in any other part of the world - people would have been sacked!

When you think about iBurst, or when i do anyway, i think there is probably 2 maybe 3 people there that actually know whats cracking. Everyone else is a monkey button pusher.

As much as I like the service when it works, as a company they really should go under so they can learn a few valuable lessons that its clear they are currently blissfully unaware of.

I understand this, but they are, unfortunate for them, the faces of iBurst we know. But yes, if only the people who can give us some answer could come out of the dark and more than likely they're probably "not a liberty" to discuss any of the problems being faced.

Connectivity issues

Apologies for not posting and updating on the forums on the connectivity issues but I have been working not stop on resolving the issues.
We experienced upstream transit issues that was compounded by the Seacom failure and I have been contacting and resolving issues with numerous upstreams.
Sorry I should have asked someone else to login here and explain.

As things stand we should have most transit issues cleared and resolved.

Just lost the ability to login into my most used sites. Also cant connect to wow anymore. Figures, on the night Cataclysm launches.

Yes, this is what I am trying to explain....I am in this exact situation with my company....I am the 'face', but have been given no authority to make things right. This needs to be understod when dealing with the Reps. The bastards are higher up, hiding, and no amount of insults/bitchng at the reps will help. Find another way and I will gladly join in the fight.

Probably just the frustration talking. I barely ever post on the forum, but if it's one of the only sites I can access :-/

BUT, I have to say, now that he made an appearance, things have been going MUCH smoother for me. I'm actually able to view most of the websites I frequent. coincidence? hmmm...

We can always torture the reps to get the addresses of the bastards higher up and then go toi-toi and TP their houses :)

Oh for the love of ..., 10 pm,no more posts and still no life in this rotting corpse.Come on guys, seems i'm more on the phone with an outsourced tech rep that can't even tell me what the DNS IP's for the ISP is than actually using it.

Please give us a damn update.

Well all I can say is Iburst is a complete disaster right now, internet is slower than ever, half the sites don't work, for the past few days everything was just basically dead from about midnight onwards everything seems to work and then in the morning were back to the same crap.

Amazingly enough only the Iburst network seems to be affected at the moment so one can't help wandering what is happening at iburst

So sorry you guys are`nt winning. I got fedup and bought the cell C internet stick and on-line gaming is so much better. Thanks iBurst for forcing me to find a better alternative.

8 hours after original request for feedback. The internet is worse than before and the call center has stopped taking calls as i wait endlessly for a "just out of highschool, couldn't configure a router let alone know what one is,outsourced support staff" to pass the buck.

Wake up wake up! Your losing customers!

wtb a working connection and support staff that actually know whats going on. When i phoned tech support i was told that they are probably resetting the system and it should work again in a little bit. That was 10 hours ago.

Well from the early hours of this morning my account FINALLY shows that I actually have bandwidth remaining so I'm able to at least access the internet again. My account was completely inaccessible from Friday until early Tuesday morning. That kind of service is something I highly doubt you will see on ANY other ISP, especially since they had no ETA on resolving the issue, and wouldn't even acknowledge any issue. Tradepage, who set up my account, were in fact the ones who told me of iBursts issues with their accounts and that high level management is now involved to get it sorted out.

How I can't wait for May 2011 to be done with this horrendous product.

Connectivity issues: International sites

Please post or PM me any remaining problem sites. I have worked through the list and have cleared any know faults.

Apologies again for the inconvenience which was caused by our network routes being incorrectly transited at a public peering point in London.

To be fair, I've had iBurst since May 2009 and this is the only serious problem I've had since. Just glad it's back now. Have been using 3G by tethering my cellphone, which gets quite costly...

Rooigev@@r,who ever told you the network was back up is a total retard. Still down after 16 hours, have spoken to most your reps at the call center and they all say it's been escalated.

I can't even open www.speedtest.net let alone play wow or eve or any other online game as they fail to open because they can't sync.

Please for the love of god, someone please just let us know what the hell is going on.

Thanks, for the opinion. The network is at normal utilization levels.

I have picked up your PM and replied. Please test your connection and forward feedback.

I still seem to be having problems, anyone else?
